Hm. +11.01hp / +11 torques at peak.

 

It’s really hard to believe those numbers especially since they are throughout all RPMs.
Almost to good to be true. It’s almost like a dyno chart from stock manis to headers.

I mean +10 rwhp and +10 ft/lbs solely on these solenoids? I don’t know, I think there is something else going on. And the fact it’s coming off Facebook isn’t helping

3. Regarding QS: they come in 2 Variations: (Depending on the year of the vehicle and versions of the 1GR-FE) We generally tell the customers to order the intake side first, which is more beneficial. To maximize the 1GR-FE engine potential, exhaust side will be needed.
a. Intake side (2 units = 1 set)
b. Exhaust side (2 units = 1 set)

One thing that gives some merit to me, imo, is the fact they have some dealers in japan and put the qs on their website. I personally would like to test out a set on the tacoma before/if I get another one for the 4runner.

 

It could help. We don't have readily adjustable advanced and retard on timing on or cams or a distributor to do so. The modified oil ports supposedly help modify the timing advance for additional horsies

 

Curious what year FJ it was for the dyno. The dual-vvti came out in 2010.

Looking at the dyno numbers it should be prior to 2010 cause those numbers are closer to our tacomas

@12TRDTacoma I didn't want to clutter the GB feeler post so I'm posting this research here.

Looks like Quantum Solenoid may have a competitor (Red Bullet) and/or same manufacturer. Just doing my initial research, and my spider senses are telling me these solenoids are originating from the same braintrust in Taiwan. I have a car buddy that lives in TW and will also ask about the item, reputation, possible procurement, etc...

Red Bullet sells a few Toyota applications. Just a matter of cross-referencing parts between Toyota models.

Yes, sorry.... Didn't mean to come off as Sherlock Holm-ey. I picked up on Qs saying something about Taiwan and found Red Bullet marketing a very similar item. And RB fully discloses that they are in TW. What's that saying..."two birds of a feather, flock together?"
