Thank you for pointing this out. Just went and checked mine. It's worn a groove more than 1/16 into the MC. Tied the hose higher to stop it.

That looks very nice! Clean engine bay!

There is a notable change in sound, sort of like small roar is the best way I can describe it. It beats the heck out of marbles in a can and acceleration notably changes as well. More responsive.

I know you're on the fence brother, but do it. Worth it for sure.

That's what I'm here for brother. :hattip:

Finally got the JT reflashed and running again after several frustrating computer tech flash issues. The SC coolant pump is tapped into the Fuel Pump Control Module fuse for activation. The pump starts after engine startup but shuts off very shortly afterward. Unsure if this is normal, but doesn't seem optimal. Will need to do live runs tomorrow and not just startup idle tests.

Overall looks clean, and idling well. Is that pump right next to the fenderwell? Looks like a lot of real-estate around it.

How many lbs of boost is it supposed to have? If you are under 6 it shouldn't be an issue, but it's cooling your system is missing out on regardless if it is turning off.

The fender liner is removed (obviously) but yes, it does have some good space around it. It is pretty busy above it though, so not very accessible from the top and it is pressed right up to the fender liner when its installed. Would have been way easier to install with the fender liner removed (which I recently did for another project) but that involves cutting off single use plastic fender rivets and needing new rivets and rivet gun to reinstall.

I believe more than 6 yes, stock is 285hp and boosted is 440hp. Seems to get those numbers it would be boosting closer to 8lbs.

The coolant pump seems to be functioning properly after a test drive, I checked it after idling for a while after driving and it was running. It appears to shut off only after a cold start at idle. I'm just so used to the Tacoma one running all the time, even when the truck is off.

This comes on way fiercer that the stock 4.0 blower, even feathering the throttle (as I didn't have a full tank of premium yet) I spun my 35s on accident. Can't wait for some WOT tests once I run a tank through it.

Anyone have a discount code for NST? I tried all the ones in my email and none of them are working. Was going to impulse buy a crank pulley, but if i dont have a coupon i guess i'll wait until their next sale

Those Driver Tail Lights. Id go that route, but State LEO are sticklers for reflectors.

Rubbermaid all the way. And it had just about a full tank for this pic so the lean is a little more pronounced.
Yeah I don’t do much road driving. Not at night since I keep breaking license plate lights and have up on them. Need to get around to making the passenger side at some point

I looked briefly at alternatives, the plastic rivets can be installed from one side. If not going OEM they are cheap enough. Not worth deviating from stock at this point.

I’d recommended picking up spare cyclones while you still can, since you’re committed, before the redesign replaces those next month.

I can't wait to fix this on the truck... tap an actual ignition based tap and put it on a relay.

Already have the matching pairs to build the other one. Just always have more things as a higher priority. But thanks for the heads up. Curious what the redesign is

@Torspd and I tried to find a spot independent of the EVAP system for the coolant pump and were unsuccessful. At this point I'm not worried about it. If my tiny little battery is fine y'all with the much bigger batteries should be a ok.

Do our trucks have a circuit open relay? If so, wouldn't that pick, post engine start, and not just with the key turned to Accessory? If that is the case, then possibly using that relay's circuit would work perfectly for the pump.
