Agree. There are far too many parasitic items to draw on the battery which further leads to their early demise these days. Everyone wants everything including the fridge and the sink in their vehicles and these batteries can no longer keep up with the demands without some additional boosts and its evident.

General 1gr question - do the injectors cut off fuel when coasting/decelerating?

Has anyone encountered a coolant leak from their thermostat housing? I did a recent install and noticed a small amount of coolant coming out

Can we get a better picture? But it does not look like the thermostat housing to me.that looks like the water pipe extension. Did you lubricate the o-ring before install? With coolant at least.

Hard to get a good pic , but it is that pipe extension , yeah I used lubriplate on it - maybe not enough

My guess would be too much. Or nicked an o-ring. With the manufacturer I work for, they use o-rings in 90% of coolant hoses. They do not like a lot of lube. Just enough for them to slide and then seat. Have you put a heat cycle or two on it? May help, but not a guarantee.

They have you reuse the oem o- ring that might be the culprit , I’ve put about 200 miles on it so it has been through some heat. If I’m lucky I can get it apart without taking the supercharger off....

Anyone turn a 2.5 gen hood scoop into a functional one? My under his temps seem really hot after cruising on the interstate and touch the hood.
Coolant temps are at 194 F

On one of the csf radiator threads , a guy installed raptor hood vents , said he was getting a lot of “mirage” effect from all the heat venting out....

Mine is slightly functional. More for heat extraction more than anything.

Yeah, that's what I'm going for - some heat extraction from the engine bay. Not an intake.

I went this route for my FJ. A little spendy, but functional.

it’s a true ram air hood and apparently only the fj vents heat out the sides as a heat extractor
