Yup, that’s what I did and that is why I kept my bulbs when I made the switch to these new TRD pro housings.

For the folks that did the AEM I assume we don’t need all the rubber parts but maybe the one that goes on the bottom. Not quite sure how it stays on. Also using the Bosch screen from page 1.

Yeah none of the rubber parts were used and we're not needed. I still have all the sleeves from it in my spare bolts drawer. Lol. Smart move on the filter. ;)

Ah on so we don’t even need the little rubber one that goes on the bottom? That was the only one that threw me off.

No sir. That piece gets skipped or tossed or saved in a junk drawer or something other than going in there.

No rush on my part I picked up a spare fuel deal so getting it setup so I can just swap if it’s referring to my questions.

bonus the spare I picked up the connections fit so no need to splice a new connector. Thanks to a tip from @loginfailed

example- doing the fuel pump mod in @crashnburn80 yota i happened to have mine in my truck. he was shorted 1! connector. he would have been pinched had i not had a spare to give. his install went well and like a total champ he got one for my fuel pump swap later that month.

Ah well good thing this setup the connector fits. Don’t even need the supplied one but I wanted to have it all ready to drop in.

on the sock it’s on there but it’s not “tight” I assume that’s fine since there is no gasket or seal anyway

That's because you took off the clip and put it on a few times after. If you are worried take some needle nose pliers to the clip to re-straighten the metal on it.

yah it seems fine just wasn’t sure it needed to be real tight or not. I took it off initially thinking I needed those stupid rubber things. worse off I’ll get a new star ring from HD.

glad my weird tendancy of keeping parts in the truck paid off. cant think of a store that would have fuel contact electrical parts on sunday.

It's just normal wiring and standard plastic connectors though brother. Those fuel pump connectors and harnesses are nothing special whatsoever.

Hey guys just started a thread in the performance section with my misfire situation. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/misfires-p0300-p0305-p0306.728547/

Just wondering if anyone knows or done a compression test on driver side with the trd supercharger installed. I'm going to buy a compression tester but since changing the plugs are tough on drivers side not sure if I'll be able to seat compression tester hose in there. any suggestions?
