Cmon we always need more power. Hopefully go with the ovtune tuner in the spring and get it to actually run correctly

Great resourse. For the FPR mod, what do i gain from boost referencing my injectors to a 1:1 ratio ?

Consistent fuel pressure regardless of boost level. Fuel pressure ramps at a 1:1 ratio depending on boost. If you boost 10 psi, your fuel pressure ramps up 10 psi with your boost. 8 psi = 8 psi, you get the idea.

For myself including others, it has stabilized AFR at idle, and provided a better sense of overall pep when driving. Combine this with restrictor jet removal/ hose clamp or replacement mods and you will be burning out everywhere you go. Lol.

You have any logs for AFRs post vacuum restrictor removal? Seems like a quick bypass valve is gonna mean more lean throttle tip in issues.

Nope. I do not have a way to log information.

I'm sure someone on here has access to logs, however.

It's been a mod long performed in the muscle car community and Magnuson is privy about it as well, if there would had been any issues with lean tip in, folks would had been talking about it or Magnuson would had acknowledged it long ago.

I'd like to believe that, but I have Magnuson's tune on my truck and it's so terrible I'm not sure they even know what lean throttle tip in is. I've got more knock above 4k than a mormon in the door section of home depot.

Why don't you flash in the TRD tune than? It is supposed to be way better than Magnuson's and OVTune is coming in soon. I have seen nothing regarding lean tip in on my truck.

Epic username by the way. :D

Up until now the TRD tune couldn't be flashed after the maggie tune is on, according to just about everyone at least. I didn't do my due dilligence and I assumed the maggie tune WAS the TRD flash, turns out it isn't. Not even close. I already have an order in for the OVTune handheld. Gonna get the TRD flash and his super mega awesome version of the TRD flash and do back to back dyno pulls to see how he stacks up (as well as comparisons to my baseline runs). I'd dyno the maggie tune (had an appointment before I even put the blower on) but I honestly think a 4th gear pull to red line would blow the motor so I cancelled my appointment and I've been staying under WOT and under 4k since then.

Anyone have pictures of how the intercooler is set up?
And how you boost referenced the FPR?

Holy crap, seriously? Folks with the TRD tune or UCON will not likely have to worry about Lean tip in (though I cannot say 100% for sure) as it sounds like you have tuning issues more than anything. What is your current AFR at during cruise, WOT and most importantly what is your idle AFR? OVTune may be your only way to go outside of manual tuning.

There are pictures circulating of how the FPR mod is set up. If I can find them I will post them on the first page.

No clue, I assumed I'd be getting a factory made tune so I don't have a wideband setup. I planned on leaving the blower setup factory until spring rolled around. That plan went out the window the first time I did a WOT pull, now I'm scrambling to un-fuck the tune just so I don't blow up the truck, still hoping to do a small pulley and a bunch of supporting mods come spring. A dual wbo2 setup is in my very near future now.

Dual wideband is a bit overkill for our application, but it will be very precise, I will tell you that.

I can't believe you don't have an AFR gauge.

Are you sure that is not chain slap you are hearing rather than knock? It is easy to confuse the two. Stock fuel pump?

I just miss my old S4 which had 6 knock sensors and OE datalogging via VCDS. Gonna slap a wideband in each section of the Y-pipe, better resolution is always nice, and they make a nice dual O2 gauge. I'm all stock everything minus what comes in the SC kit, truck came with a CPO warranty so I'm confident it's all in somewhat decent shape.

As for chain slap, it might be, I've never had a vehicle knock before so i could be entirely off base. But when it happens I lose power, and the normal sound of the engine goes away; that is to say this isn't an additional sound on top of the normal engine noises. It goes from a growl to a sound like someone shaking marbles in a tin can.

If you lose power it is not chain slap and your AFR may indeed be shit. Your plugs are new right? You didn't tell me if you are using the stock pump or not.

Yup, the plugs that came with the kit were installed per instructions. And by all stock I meant stock pump, yes. That's gonna become an E85 rated 320+ lph pump soon enough though.

It may be your pump weighing you down. Without seeing what your AFR is though. The stock pump is absolute shit. Even in NA Configuration.

I'll bump the pump upgrade higher on the list. I'd love to dyno with the maggie tune to compare it to TRD, I have trouble believing a pump with only 40k on it could be this bad.

I believed that also at 45K until I was left stranded on the side of the road one day OUT OF NOWHERE.

Matter of fact, on second thought, replace the pump ASAP. The precursors and symptoms I had before mine died was excessive knocking also. Now that you have boost. I'll bet you it's amplifying.
