I wouldn't see how straight water injection would be an issue with smog thinking with logic and reasoning.

Already in the process for me :anonymous:

This is CA. You could inject 50/50 Voss/Fiji water and it’ll be illegal.

Well Fiji water is not organic. You should know better being from CA and all.

Nice selling out every couple years too much hassle for me. Likely would be okay so we’ll see. Also need to make sure I don’t add too many items that I could get stranded running out of. Ran into that not being able to find gas in Baja. Trucks not winning any races but it’s fun chasing more power too

Shit. My bad. I’m behind on the times. Should I inject La Croix?

Actually blk. water is the dealer recommended brand.
    or Liquid Death if you're a non-conformist.

You guys need to inject something with a high alkaline content. That will keep your engine healthier because it will balance the air fuel ratios pH levels.

You can't run that stuff. If your cooling system can't have it nether can the combustion chamber. :annoyed::anonymous::burp:

    Actual question:

I'm running into a dilemma where I will be installing the physical TRD supercharger at home, but have no skills or ways to tune the ECU to the TRD calibration. I also have bought a second #PN & VIN matched ECM that I have on hand.
There is someone semi-local to me (found through @JustDSM affiliated vendor in CA, TK-421 Tuning) who can flash the basic TRD calibration onto one of my ECM's with HP Tuners, but he says he cannot bench tune the ECM -- he needs it in the truck, and it would be best to have the SC installed already.

My problem arises in figuring out how to get either a S/C'd truck over to his house (~30 mile drive) on the stock tune, or somehow get my second spare ECM flashed with the TRD calibration while the truck is still N/A.
I will install the S/C on my own time at home, and sadly can't have it sitting in the driveway for a week(s) waiting for a tunning appointment as it's my daily driver.

I'm thinking I have these options, ranked in my preference:
    1. Bring the N/A truck to him and have him load the TRD calibration onto the ECM in the truck (would the truck being N/A matter for loading the TRD tune onto the ECM?), then swap in a stock calibrated ECM to drive home and install the actual S/C and newly TRD tuned ECM on my own time another weekend
    2. Install the S/C on the truck, and limp it to his place (30 miles) on the stock tune (will it even start/run?) Could I remove the S/C belt and drive on the stock tune?
    3. Install the S/C on the truck, and either pay AAA to tow it to his house or hopefully find a friend with a drive-over trailer and a full-size who'd be nice enough to help out.
Y'all have any better ideas? Hoping that I can get some guidance and wisdom from the boosted boys!

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Safety wire the boost valve open on the back of the supercharger open and then leave off the belt as well if you like. You will be fine.

Sounds silly but the easiest and cheapest way is to just google maps a pedestrian route to the ECU tuner who's 30 miles from you. And just granny drive it there. Granny driving = stay out of boost which is easily done with the skinny pedal after a successful blower install.

Might take you 2x the driving time but saves on downtime compared to any other method.

Beat me to it. I was going to say the same. I sent my ECU to @JustDSM and he had it back to me in a couple of days.

Cool, this is sounding like a good option.
Justin, what do you mean by converting?
