also, what sucked was doing this shit out in the street on asphalt. having a second person helped too. so if you can grab an extra pair of hands, id suggest it.

It sure seems so! Which stage are you running and how has it been for you in the longer term?
Yeah i had to fight mine a little going back in. Got it out by myself but had to have another hand to lift on the front of the motor a little bit to get things to line up.

That sounds like a real pita. I was doing it on a concrete slab, but asphalt sounds way worse

I'm running the stage 3+ and it has been amazing. Break in took a hot minute, lots of chattering, but now its smooth and grabs like a good clutch should.

yah I’m deciding if going with cast or flow formed 19-21lbs works or if it’s worth it to go big on something like TE’s @Lucario Runner as I also need a lower offset. +2 LT and -38 is going to be super wide for places I take the truck.

I have been running Willwood Aero-6 brake setup for a couple years it’s a nice but switching over to Stoptech st60 front (2 piece rotors) and rear stoptech st40. I have really been considering those m/t’s @XPOTRPR as well. I like the idea of load range D and true to size.

That's why I stayed away from -38's too. I had -12 prior to the 35s.. and with my research found that -25 might be the perfect balance for 35s.. and for the most part.. it really is.

So you're not running the actual Wilwood BBK then right? Because mine are 2 piece rotors. Like I said.. they are light! The D rating was the biggest factor for sure though.

Not the one from Willwood. Higher-end calipers but uses 338 TR4 rotor size. I had not seen the Wilwood one at the time. And being able to use off the shelf as needed was a nice add for emergency sake but now I am thinking more performance and weight.

Me too, the Wilwood bbk is nice. You do need 17’s to run them though. I mention this because you are looking at wheels. @nudavinci64

I have been running TR4 and the Wilwood setup I have now that both run 338mm rotors and require 17's so no issue there.

Honestly all are great setups with success on each. In some discussions the Stoptech's are supposed to dissipate heat better and heard some potential issues with Wilwood rotors and decided to go with stoptech. Started when I decided to not sell my rear disc conversion and add the BBK calipers in the rear. I was not able to get matching wilwood calipers so decided to stoptech's would be the new change.

ill find a pic of my current setup.

The SCS F5 with 0 offset is just under 19lbs.

Sorry, I meant lightweight rotors like the 2 piece, but for a 16" rim. Love my baja rims and no plans on ever changing them :)

Stoptech and Willwood both have 2 piece rotor setups for you.

While on the subject of light weight wheels- What have y'all found for light weight rubber that still packs some offroad performance? In my research the goodyear duratracs are hard to beat for offroad performance and weight but f@@k do they hum.

It’s relative to your conditions and terrain, but these KO2s in load range C are quiet and have been great for me on my 1st gen and now the 2nd gen.

I know they get a lot of hate, and while I freely admit they're not the end-all-be-all, the KO2 has been good to me. I really like the C Load offerings up to 37".

My only big complaint on the K02 was mud and wet performance. My truck slid all over the place but aside from that they drove nice and wore well.
