@rheath08 check this. custom sleeves built to order and shipped in 1 week.

 

What sleeves did you get? Darton? Idk something seems sus with that machine shop.

 

I did not get them. The machine shop sourced them from a maker of cylinder sleeves from the Los Angeles, CA area. It was a flanged dry sleeve. I was going to go with Darton mid sleeves, but that fell through at the time. The closets machine shop that I found that could install the Dartons was 4.5 hours away.

 

new crank too or just rods and pistons. what compession?

 

I’d be scared to install any sleeves other than Darton. They are actually the only proven thing to work on this 1gr-fe. Anything else is a crab-shoot!

 

i didnt know that. maybe a group buy would make them happen.

 

It was to be .020" over stock diameter with stock compression. I don't need ay more compression with a supercharger. Now it seems to be what ever miracle I can make happen. "making lite of the situation"

 

It is common Practice in aluminum blocks. " it may just be me, but it seems shop don't like to touch non demotic" It may just be my town.

 

guess ive been on team (no intercooler gasket) for some time. does the motor digest it, or could it plug an exhaust converter?

 

It devours it, and spews it out.

 

I'm looking into a performance valve body instead of a ratiotek VB kit.

Level 10 $698

I think the WAT is an outright purchase and shipped from AUS whereas IPT and Level 10 require a core exchange/upfront and located domestically.

Any pros and cons to either? Anyone to stay away from?

 

Wat is a core charge too. And the exchange is handled by the state side dealer in Stockton.

 

Pretty sure mine is gone as well... I 'glued' it back on when i did a service, but I was doubtful it was gonna stay. I tried just cause I knew if it came off, it would just get eaten and disappear.

 

So is the consensus that I shouldn't install the gasket when in install the supercharger?

 

If all are about equal in quality and performance my solution is to just call all of them. If any respond to you like Icon CS. They’re out. I’ve heard in the past Level 10 is pretty terrible.

When I called IPT the one that answered was friendly, answered any questions, and was just all around pleasant. Unfortunately my car broke shortly after so I never went through with it.

 

Doing an oil change and maybe it's just the Sunday bong, but the supercharger sounded a little louder than normal?

how many miles on the s/c?

 

just curious if the cannon fodder jam the cat. seems to run great with new ruthiums. noticed an intake leak at the tb. new gasket solved that. 100mile road test tmrw.

 

if you go ipt share your findings. i would like one before years end.
