Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Been running the DW255 for a few years without issue. I know I could here the Walboro in my old WRX/STI. Sound was minimal.

Not really. They range anywhere from 50K to sometimes even 250K. It's sort of a luck of the draw thing.

No worries at all, this is super low priority for me and really not a big deal if I don’t replace my current cover. Thanks for checking.

Just a small update to the 2.8" 89515 Dayco lower idler pulley. I just called them and they confirmed that this pulley is good for boosted applications up to 13,042.2 RPM.

For those of you ever in a bind and can't get the original 3.0" Magnuson unit from superchargersonline or anywhere else, this pulley will work for pulleys up to size 2.7 no problem.

Well they are steel pulleys so replacing with a decent bearing should be perfectly fine. Curious what brand bearing dayco ACTUALLY uses.

It's a C&U bearing. That's actually why I called them in the first place was to find out the max RPM on the bearing and that's what he told me.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't have a retaining clip or snap ring on them.

I tried locating a Timken 62032RSC3 bearing for them at my local parts store but all they came up with was 203FF or 203PP. Neither of those were the RSC3 version of it as far as I know and saw so I'm not sure what to make of that. Maybe someone else could chime in if either of those are actually it, but for now, it'll do as is though.

Ah come on Jesse. It's not that bad. You always know when it's tight. And if there is any doubt, then go back and recheck your torque.

I do understand though, plus all the little swivels and stuff is hella annoying.

If I had to do the coilpack install again, I still wouldn't pull off the blower. Admittedly, I crossed my fingers during plug removal, hoping that when I pulled out the spark plug socket, I prayed that there was a spark plug attached to it. It really isn't that bad if you have a few 1/4" and 3/8" swivels/u-joints and different length extensions. Just move two hoses out of their brackets and removed 1 "s-shaped" hose that was pressure fitted (no clamps). Shamefully, I don't have huge bear paws for hands so maybe that improved my chances for success.

Well worse comes to worse a flexible magnet comes in handy for getting the plugs out of the tubes.

Ideally what you really want is a socket with a rubber or magnetic insert to hold the tips of the plugs in place until they are either out or inside of and threaded in the cylinders.

Here’s a tip for spark plug removal, if you don’t trust your spark plug socket just loosen with a regular socket then use a coilpack to pull it out. I’ve used that a few times in a pinch and it has worked great.

Way better idea than my "stick bubblegum" at the end of a deep socket and git 'er done.
