TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

A guy I know has the headers and sims new unused. I want the sims but he will only sell them together. I’m looking to buy them and keep the sims. I’d then turn around and sell the headers.

I wouldn’t even consider URD for high end racing parts.

 

How much did that build cost?

 

So I have an exhaust question……when I initially installed my urd long tubes. I had a crazy rasp at 2600-2700 rpms. I was told to do 1 or 2 resonators. In doing so, it completely helped although never really did fix it completely. I can still hear it faintly at the rpm mark I stated above.

So my question is, if I did a high flow cat and a resonator after the y-pipe instead of the 2 resonators, would that finally mute that rasp??? I assume I need a little more restriction that a cat would provide. Anyone????

 

Equal length why pipe would be the answer.

 

if your air injection is hooked up make sure the little metal gasket is aligned correctly. i didnt and it created a buzz note.

 

@rheath08 i have a jfr pipe. I do still have the equipment in. What gasket are you referring to?

 

it is the little metal cross pipe that connects driver to pass side. it has a small metal gasket.my gasket got misaligned when i put headers on.

 

Hmmmmm I’ll have to look into that. Is the gasket where the pipe connects into the actual air injection
