Yeah right, I suppose it will calm down and something I’ll get used to over time. So long as it doesn’t slip I’ll be happy. I do a lot of towing and carry about 1T of tools onboard everyday of the week.

 

Zero slippage. I'm super happy with it.

Looking more and more likely that I'm selling my truck for a 2021 tundra pro. Looking into superchargers. Looks like they have three to choose from. Magnuson, Harrop, and Whipple. Anyone with experience in those?

 

I believe the maggy is the most popular one. I most likely will be selling as well.

If I could fit a tundra into the hospital parking spots I'd have one with a harrop booster.

Harrop is my choice. There’s also a Procharger that’s been “coming soon” for the last 2 years.

 

I would definitely go a tundra here too but the cost of those utes here are crazy. A new one will set you back $160k aud.
Also, just went on urd site, they want to charge $1180 just for shipping costs for the spec 3+ clutch.

 

Exedy would be another good clutch and should be more easily available to you in Australia.

 

Funny you say that because that was the last clutch I had in and that was also slipping. So this is now 2 clutches that have slipped on me. Any ideas as to why? She is a work horse this Ute. It does get pushed pretty hard

 

What are the conditions of the flywheel and pressure plate? Resurfaced or brand new? Your truck pushed hard cause of off roading, towing, lots of payload, racing, stop and go traffic? I too like my spec clutch but it's in a gtr.

 

Both pressure plate and flywheel are brand new as of 18,000kms ago. I bought all new materials when I put in the 4terrain clutch I have now. I carry about 1T of tools on board and I also tow a fair bit from time. Caravan or loads of building materials. Only once since I’ve had the new clutch installed I went driving hard in 4x4 on the sand.

 

Definitely not from stop start traffic as I live in the country so traffic lights are not an every day occurrence.

 

In that case I would push for the spec 3+. I would look on summit racing too or even spec directly maybe the shipping is cheaper.
