Do not like this. I imagined it would stress it out but only what I heard. Also heard people lifting it by placing 2x4 to lift it at different points of the lower engine but sounds like a lot of work..

They are not solid. They are polyurethane. This whole solid mount talk needs to change to what it really is. Polyurethane.

5-30 dino oil.

You CAN do it by the tranny pan. You just use a block of wood and you're good to go.

Did you have a block of wood or something to distribute the load on the bottom of the pan? I'm guessing the bolts should be cracked loose a bit first before putting jack pressure on the pan?

Just got my mounts and have some sudden, unexpected free time and was hoping to tackle this tomorrow.

 

@daluvian selecting an oil seems like a very personal thing that's based on some good information and some bad (like politics).

I used this information to select my oil. But ultimately the answer is whatever seems best to you.

some people like what they like even though most are made from the same refinery meeting the same API min standards. My advice would be to look at the environment the vehicle is and get the weight for that and what's on sale. I would rec the high mileage for the added anti-wear additives.

 

you will notice them with an automatic. The supercharger helps dampen the vibs a bit. honestly, the vibs are a small price to pay for peace of mind. plus the solid off road mounts are lighter than stock.

I feel almost no change. Just a hair bit more vibes but that's it.

Agreed. It's a very personal thing indeed. It also depends a lot on the operating environment the vehicle will be living in as well. So to echo what Lucario is saying above me. There is no one clear cut answer for this question.

 

Yes, block of wood. It didn't crush completely. When it started I see it cave in I stopped.
