I read good reviews on this one, but I never used it before I sold my 1st gen and the OEM re-boot kit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079P5RB3T/

I got them awhile ago never got around to them leu some validity with the various parts you can dial and tune but far beyond my level at this point. It was a site why not and so have FICs to match them but prefer a black set if anyone ever wants to swap for a red set.

who’s boots do you like? Is it because the CVJ uses a heavier material maybe less flexible and crack/rip long term?

Everytime I think I wanna trade the tundra in for the new one I always think I’ll regret it. Brought it to cars and coffee today. Didn’t last long cuz the kids were a pain. Got it all cleaned up last night. Finally also got a tune from justdsm so gotta load that and see how it feels. Pretty excited 3615F63E-D5F3-4E2A-87D9-FF6E8D39F236.jpg

These new OEM Toyota plastic boots seem to be pretty good. I had the CVJ black rubber and red silicone. The silicone held up great. The rubber cracked and tore in less than a year. Total waste of money

I really wish there would be an application specific CV boot for lifted applications like the silicone for both inner and outer portions of the CV shaft. Or some sort of better solution than what we currently have. All this grease flinging when these things tear or the bands let go are a real pain in the rear. Not to mention disgustingly dirty.

They are definitely starting to look too ugly for their own good now. That's for sure. No offense to anyone who owns one of course.

The wheel arches remind me of new American trucks. And the tall rectangle tail lights, eww

    And the V6....... Gross.

A turbo is God's way of telling you that you're missing two cylinders.

That may be true, but you have that crap-box SMG. Have that thing converted to manual and never looks back.

tried but the warranty wouldn't cover it. Warranty did pay $5200 to replace the hydraulic pump two summers ago though.

That tranny is a normal manual trans. It just has all the SMG crap on it.
