TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

What kind of tuning is everyone in here using for the 4.0 magnuson blowers? I want the trd tune, but the dealers near me said that they no longer reflash the ECUs.. i do not want the bully dog tune, so im trying to figure out good options. I know OVTune is working on the tuning for the S/C’d application, but not sure when that will come out.

Does anyone have an ECU with the trd tune for a 6spd 4x4 Double cab that theyre wanting to sell? (I know a long shot, but its worth a try..)

 

Have you tried other dealerships? There has to be an option. I just got my ovtune up and going today. It's great.

 

Ive tried several, and all of them told me that theyre no longer doing it for liability reasons and that they dont even have access to the software anymore..

If you dont mind me asking, how much did the ovtune run you? And is it pretty easy to work with or how does it work? Im guessing you flash it through an obd2 connector?

That was my first choice, but on their website they only have it listed for the 05-08 tacos.. am i missing something for the 12-15s? I have a 13 and would loveee to get the UCON if they offer it

I just had a TRD flash a month ago. It's the same software the dealer uses for any ECU update or calibration so it's still accessible.

 

Oh please. You’re stuck on the 2.8 pulley. We’ve all moved past that. All you have is stickers. You don’t even have the Figs.
