I have had the 2.85” pulley for a few weeks with the Gates standard size belt with no problems.

Is it pretty easy to cut the extra ribs off? Just use a razor blade on a cutting board or what?

I suggest using copper washers with the banjo bolts. I used aluminum once (came with the fitting/lines) and I could never get them sealed. Over tightened one, and it cracked. I have never had a problem with copper.

And, as others have said, bleed all 4.

I recently switched to Castrol Dot 4 fluid, as it has a higher boiling point than the Dot 4 I was using. I think the fluid I have is designed for high performance motorcycles (I found it on eBay, not in any local store.)

Yah it’s using copper. My issue is at full lock the banjo hits the bypass shock ever so slightly.

Steering stops welded in? Might limit your turning radius a little bit, but I rather have that compared to the sudden inability to stop.

I was going to suggest the same thing - head over to shaffers off road and have them hammer down some 1/16” sheet metal and weld it onto the current stop.

They installed the brakes this time around. I have shorter banjos and a tundra rack that should help and limit it a bit. Lowers have steering stops TC +2 expo LT kit.

Its a modified tacoma length tundra rack and solid mounts. Should have less flex to help with it.

Do you guys get flack for your catch can? "Modified PCV".. First smog shop I went, different shop than I normally go to, wouldn't take my car. Finally found the original one that smogged here in Mission Viejo, CA. In and out in 10.

You are technically messing with stock emissions by adding the can... Even though common sense should step in and identify that it is a closed loop. You are actually improving your emissions by removing that oil in a solid state vs re-burning it and sending it down the tail pipe. But California. It makes sense if you don't think about it. Leave that hard thinking and reasoning to the much smarter, better looking, higher educated politicians.

I live in Anaheim but have worked in MV for the past 10 years. I used to give the sup to people but FJs usually owned by old ladies and Tacos don't acknowledge me cuz I'm not a "truck".

You're/he's in the right. I didn't put up much of an argument. He didn't seem interested in entertaining the smog. The 2nd shop passed me exactly how I am.

Peak rwhp is very impressive for a custom tune on all stock SC parts. Curious why the torque curve dips some ~2800? Usually these TVS blowers hit top of torque curve well before that rpm. Was this a fourth gear manual pull? I’m sure a couple aftermarket mods would remedy that. I say headers and a smaller pulley to experiment :D

Pump fuel limitations/VE obstacles. I could smooth it out at the expense of torque before and after that point.

3rd Gear pull in a auto using a Gear Lock tune enabling us to run it like a manual.

Full exhaust was already on hand before the truck was even delivered :) Just had to get "stock" numbers first.. Pulleys to come.

f-that not showing a howdy for a sweet rig. i often compliment others' rigs if they have effort and style. its what modding can be about too.

Ordered my new gates belt today. Any tips or tricks for cutting the two extra ribs off or do I just use a razor blade and a cutting board?

Just go RPM. K050705RPM. No need to cut ribs off and the belt will last you a REALLY long time.
