Did you need a press to pull the old bearings out ?

The first one I did (smooth/mid pulley) I used my vise at home, it wasnt terrible.. but I knew it wouldnt work for the lower pulley or for pressing back in. I brought everything into work and used the press to pop out the old lower bearing and then press both new bearings in. Definitely made it easier..

Replacing all the bearings on the engine side as well, including the tensioner. From my research here on TW.. I gathered these part numbers and quantities. Anybody have any other recommendations or input before I order these? Thanks.

I did all of the bearings (2 upper, 2 lower, and the tensioner) just with a vise at home. Freeze the bearings the night before helps a bit.

You froze them? Geez, that's taking things a step too far considering every time I have done them I just whack out the old ones with a hammer and socket and press in the new ones with a socket and a vice and it all goes without a hitch.

Well, hold on... I do gotta consider that some of the guys here are probably dealing with abnormal rust, dirt, mud, and just crap on their stuff because of wheeling and general outdoor conditions that are a lot harder on trucks than California.

I was gonna say, this is the way I did mine last time. And I am heavily prone to Murphy’s law but I got them all swapped ok. Kind of sad that only 1 year later and one of the bearings is making noise again.

These pulley setups suck honestly. I am not happy with the fact that mine are starting to make noise again only a year after swapping them out myself. It's mild and they'll last but I still EVER so mildly hear it.

Did you get the double rollers from superchargers online? I saw they were in stock awhile ago, I should have ordered them.

I never did, what pulleys are they supposed to address again? I've been putting off getting them for quite a while now.

I should probably hit them up again and see what the deal is with them, because I'm sure everyone here is sick of replacing their bearings every year.
