@ThomasMore66 what advice could you share about oil and trans cooler upgrades over what stock o/r trucks have? When is it a good idea and when is it needless? I dont tow, but want to keep my drivetrain as prepped as I can for driving (spirited).

I have no insight to offer, as I do not monitor grant temps, the idea behind the shift kit not only increases shifting speed but due to the less time the clutches are engaging and disengaging the heat build up goes down, therefore tranny temps decline. If you have a stock cooler in there you are already ahead of the game which doesn't have one.

Again I have no insight on how much temps have gone down.

 

In my experience they may be down slightly, but the trans still heats up and doesn’t cool down. The csf rad did more for the trans temp than the valvebody kit imho.

 

I plan on doing both. Sometime this year.

 

The CSF rad is on the list of to do's, but I may hold off until my rad gives up the ghost. We'll see how it goes.

 

I think his sentence is up next week.
