does knock some cabon off and thats weight saving/performance. unless the sand sticks to the carbon and increases compression. also hp increase.

 

Just use this general rule of thumb: if there isn't blood, it's not a project.

 

Anybody want a set of red bullet solenoids? I had something weird happen with the first set. Got a brand new set but I finally passed inspection and too much other stuff going on.

 

They are free to a good home for any of the OGs that missed out.

 

Part of me wants to say I'll take them and then I'll give my original prototypes to someone else who I'd give it to for free (problem free as well) but the other part of me doesn't feel like messing around in there again. Lol.

 

I just want them to get used. I appreciate all the hard work this group puts forth to try new things and spend out of pocket. I don’t mind helping out for that stuff and know that it takes valuable time. For whatever reason, the first set for me just had some weird issues when I plugged them in. I finally passed inspection and the truck runs great so I don’t want to mess with it. I am more than happy to hook up another OG.

New bearings in, thanks @XPOTRPR
Cleaned and painted the pulleys, new set of urd cam gears ready to go in this engine. Was going to swap mine over but didnt want the hassle of having to take valve covers off old engine during the swap and waste any time.

 

Pulled the wagon wheel off in prep for the 2.8 pulley. Took a puller, with a propane torch, and a few bumps of the air hammer to move. No damage done. On to the next problem!

Came off better than mine did back in the day.. we had to surgically take a cutoff wheel to it.

 

Dude that was the worst wasn't it? I HATED the fact that I had to take a cutoff wheel to my brand new unit back in the day.

I have noticable change in my current engine with the mightyman gears. Idles smoother, never any spark knock, just runs happier.

 

hm. this is exactly what mine looks like. i really gotta handle that soon. ish.

 

Should I stick to the factory spec supercharger spark plugs? Should I go a step colder with the smaller pulley?
