I don't have the URD fuel pump kit. But I did piece together my own fuel pump kit with an external K&N fuel filter. Fuel filter is tucked over the fuel tank. So I haven't seen them go under in that area. I've gone through two smog with it so far. No issue at all. Both times I've watched them inspect my truck. Both times they were more focused on the supercharger than anything else. I also have an oil catch can. Bright blue right in your face obvious. But all the smog tech I've seen was focused on inspecting the supercharger.

Thanks guys. Sounds like it'll be tech dependent and how much they care.

I'm not sure how different it is on the Tacomas vs the FJs, but dropping the tank wasn't bad at all. I had about 3-4 gallons in it when i dropped it and only needed to use a jack to get it straight while bolting the straps back on when reinstalling. Make sure you have a large strap wrench to remove the ring to the fuel pump bucket and mark where it was tightened to originally. That ring is on tight.

It's really not a problem. They're concerned about the underhood shit and since the PCM drives all of that EVAP related stuff they don't even really need to bother to look at all that stuff under the vehicle anymore.

I totally get that, unfortunately I'm stubborn and after falling 16 ft off a roof at work my bruised ribs won't let me get the strength I need haha

That one was a pain in the ass for me too, both removing it and putting it pack on. Take that pink clip off and yank it off if you can. To put it back on I put a little wd40 on both the hose and nipple, or it’s damn near impossible to get back on.

I can dig it brother. That's pretty rough going and even now there are some things I will no longer do. Your body comes above all else the older you get right.

So I put everything back on and it will key over for a second and then stall. Ideas? Or does the pump take a while to get gas bXk in the system?

Edit, it's staying on now and no leaks, I had my battery disconnected for hours so I forgot it reset my ECU so with my gears I idle at 1500 rpm until it relearns lol

Balls I have a engine light.p0051 etc 4 regarding heater control circuit low which is an O2 sensor problem? I don't know why that would change from a fuel pump install?

And another p0102 mass or volume air flow circuit low input.

Lete know if you guys can think what I may have done wrong? At least after running 15 minutes it's not leaking.

I once had some codes like that popup and after much troubleshooting and head scratching I went and did a battery disconnect/reset and that fixed it.

    Worth a shot anyways.

@FishingInSand you know what. That's not the issue. Just go ahead and replace your blown 10 amp "EFI 2" fuse and call it a day.
