I didn't know this was a thing. My SC was installed by Toyota and I never had one.

Came into work early this morning so I could work on the Taco.. Gotta run home and grab some tools/supplies then back to the shop to tear into it and see what's what.

It's a 8mmx1.25 coarse. I was bored and went to the local hardware and pieced this together with a GM panel fastener and rubber o-ring ($2). It actually threads in when mocked up.

Alright.. so since I don't want to deal with this again... I'm looking at finally buying a cordless 3/8 ratchet to add to my Milwaukee collection. At home Depot now and just saw torque specs.. but then also saw the right angle impact they have. 3/8 drive. M12. More expensive and no package deals (tool only) but has 220ftlbs.. think I should get it and find a 3/8 22MM short socket? Convince me.. lol

Very true.. the Ratchet is more universal I feel.. but 35ftlbs isn't enough for more than just this one Crank bolt. So yeah.. I'm sure it'll come in handy other times. Wish it was 1/2 drive vs 3/8.. but not the end of the world. The bolt is already broken loose.. lol. So really just worried about getting it back together.. new parts needed or not. So the torque of this right angle impact would do the trick.

The beauty of the ratchet is not the torque. You still hand tighten to final torque and usually use it like a normal ratchet to break loose. It's not having to endlessly ratchet stuff manually. One of my absolutely favorite tools.

Have a 1/4" extended reach milwaukee modded to 3/8" (with an older non fuel 3/8" anvil) so it has a slimmer neck (slightly less torque than dedicated 3/8" model) and fits in places better.

Definitely.. I started to think to about the scenarios.. and all the suspension work I do it's going to come in soooo handy. I can specifically think of 3 situations that usually bite when I'm trying to use my 1/2 impact gun. Just due to it's shape/size. This ratchet impact will make a huge difference and I imagine I'm going to use it a lot actually. It's sitting here in the passenger seat riding shotgun in the Minitruck me back to save the Taco. Lol

I do still want the 3/8 ratchet tho.. non extended. They have it on a killer deal right now. Might have to splurge and get that kit too.

This impact was 283 OTD with a battery.

I don't know how, but I put the cam gears in with the ruthenium spark plugs on Sunday, and now almost ally transmission problems are gone especially at idle/1st gear. And that's before I get a tune, wild!

Unfortunately I can't get to drop my tank to go over my install until Friday after work. I know that the only things it could be would be the vent line/ filler tube, or the seal around the gas tank lid nothing else would have gotten possibly loose or torn from the initial install in relation to the code

How were your spark plugs? If you were getting a weird shudder in the transmission that can be translated from a misfire which sounds crazy but I have experienced it a few times now on the 1gr/5spd setup.

So I played around with the FPR mod last night and my wideband was pig rich! Is the general consensus that this is for 2.7” pulley and smaller? It richened up my mixture by almost a full point on the 2.85 pulley.

Watch your fuel trims under vacuum; you'll find the truck is actually leaner since you're lowering fuel pressure under vacuum. Boost referencing the FPR should be accompanied by a tune for proper fueling. However, that's the proper method. It can be run without one, as it was for years before any tuning options being available. The ECU is configured in such a way that it assumes the fuel pressure is constant. When that no longer is true you'll run leaner in vacuum and richer in boost (the further away from atm. pressure, the worse it'll be).

I did notice and reversed it for now! I ordered a URD Calibrator and will play around with the R4 software to see what I can do! Still going to get you to flash another ECU too!
