With new years quickly approaching, any resolutions for your vehicle or personal life? If you guys want to answer for fun, reply and share!

I promised I'd pick up a skill this year so I started taking classes for welding. Once I get my set up going, then I wouldn't mind working on any small projects for the boost bros (I've helped with installs before but more a service to the community).

    Vehicle... Linked/rear axle and 400+hp/tq

Finish the 4x4 conversion ( Toyota warranty reman new transmission comes in on Tuesday), and also practice my mig welding to gain more confidence when I 3 link the rear about this time next year.

I'm currently certified in stick/tig, but I haven't needed it yet for what I've had to do at work. Everyone says it will be much easier

my main focus for most of 2024, will be a continuation of 2023  And that will be saving up for a down payment on a place of my own.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel, but that tunnel sure is long and full of whoops.
Luckily, we got the Tacomas to fly over em !

So many fun cars. Not enough time. I hope to build another JDM car to revisit some roots. I miss the comradery, similar to what we have here but afterwards we'd always go street shark to test our new additions.

Revive the X/R movement! Whenever I look for old 1GR and supercharger info, XR underground always shows up

I miss and don't miss the days dropping a trans to do a clutch swap but 4wd will be a game changer.

I look forward to getting certified to tig in the near future. It would be nice to consider aerospace work since it seems welders are always needed. Trying to make some career choices before I get too old lol

Go big! Set the bar high. I love seeing rigs not stopping at 35s anymore

Also working on that. Praise for doing what's necessary

Lots of titanium and weird stuff lol. We were welding quite a bit of stainless at the new stadium last year down here

Vehicle resolution is hopefully get a built engine in the truck sometime within the next year. Bought a wrecker engine sight unseen that is totally sludged. Currently completely apart, partially cleaned and full stroker BC kit ordered. Will be sending the block for sleeving sometime in the next couple months.

Plans for some porting, valve work, cams, etc.

Maybe a RC62 trans swap but realistically my budget will be blown on the motor so that's more likely a next year goal.

I bought a welder recently for my GX project. Never welded before. Once I learn I have so many things to stick together!

Get my truck back on the road. It has been down since last year with a bent rear housing. (Waiting on parts).

I want to finish up exhaust, and get back to tuning and have some fun with it. Still a stock pile of parts boost related and other (full red arc red vision setup waiting to go in)

also Would like to pick up welding, the one area I tend to outsource. I picked up a welder now I need to make sense of how to use it.

Besides that working on building up http://www.holyhorsepower.co

It will be a mix, but getting started with more drop shipping and some vendors, we have to stock inventory. We plan to have physical stock as it grows, but we can "sell/stock" way more with drop shipping to start.

Hope you get it figured out man. Been thinking about you and your situation lately actually.. as I have had a pretty similar year this last year. I was hoping to start this year fresh and start over.. nope.. the hits keep coming. Literally just got word my Gpa is giving up on his cancer meds to live out the last of his life at home, with in home hospice giving him pain meds and keeping him comfortable. Doc says no more than 30 days... Right around my birthday, February 8th.

Just glad to have good friends and a good community to keep us all going through the tough times.

Fuck cancer. Fuck it sideways with a crusty armored Komatsu.

Hang in there. When I was sick I either didn't have the energy or the money depending on where I was in treatment to mod so it came is chunks when everything lined up. Something about turning a wrench that is therapeutic though. It was a chance for me to feel a bit of normalcy through it and feel like I'd accomplished something and made some forward progress when things were looking pretty bad.

Nothing like banging some knuckles to remind yourself that you're still alive and shit could be worse.
