Let me know what you are looking for Diesel stuff. I am unsure if we will go down the diesel road, but I can likely get parts depends how niche they are.

Condolences, and let's get started with a good 2024. It's a rough way to end December.

Damn.. I'm sorry you had to deal with that all so close. I lost 3 over last year, and now Gpa. Definitely no fun. I hope you've been getting through though.

Sure wish I could help out with the truck too. Up in Washington right?

That is rough, condolences for all mate. I lost an uncle 11/18/23 and I was lucky enough to get bereavement leave for a day to be there for my mom and uncles.
That's unfortunate and you have my sympathy. hopefully the pain will be controlled and they may pass as comfortable as possible.

I can send a list if you want. I got a 7.3 and a new to me 6.0 powerstroke and I can't leave anything alone for some reason.

My deepest sympathies for you, Jessie and everyone else going through rough times. 3 is a cruel number. My uncle, my cousin, and my childhood neighbor all in their eternal slumber right before Christmas for different things like uncle had Alzheimer's, cousin had a stroke, and neighbor had an aneurysm. Fu you anybody that said life gets easier as you get older

To all who have installed cams with upgraded spring. Do you have a rattle at cold start until the oil pressure raises? The rattle only lasts about 1.5-2 seconds then quiet and normal. I fear the new VVT gears are bad out of the box.

My friend iconic fab has been making some trans cooler kit brackets. Says he's looking for a 2nd gen. Reach out to him on IG if you were going to add a cooler and can help. Screenshot_20240104-174651.png

Same oil weight and parked outside? Temps have been colder than usual around here. If same for you, I might consider something lighter. If parked inside normally, disregard. And the start up sound has always been there since install?

Same oil weight. The temps are about average if not warm for this season. The noise only started after the cam install with new VVT gears.

Probably unrelated but I had a louder rattle like oil pickup was struggling on starting cold. How's your battery charge? Ever since the weather has been crap down south ( getting a lot of coastal roll in), my valve train seemed to rattle on start up. Had my battery for 4 years and was barely hitting 11.8v on key in. Since my new battery, must not be struggling but no more rattle. Or whatever was loose is completely down the rabbit hole.

Battery is solid. The lithium battery is still going strong.
To me it seems too loud to be a chain tensioner. I think it's the driver side but with a stethoscope, I can hear it throughout the valve, cover timing cover and cylinder heads on both sides. But it's hard to pinpoint when it only happens for about 2 seconds at most.

Shot them a PM. Not sure if my current setup would work with what they've designed but I've never been super stoked with the way my B&M cooler is mounted.

Toyota and Nissans are notoriously loud on the valve train. I wouldn't be surprised it's normal. Back in the day, I'd always take out the covers and inspect everything, check torque after the 1k miles but these days I'm kinda lazy. For the new VVT gears, do they have to be prepped or primed in anyway? At least, chain tension can be looked at pretty quickly.

I remember performance Tomei solid pivot lifters fit Nissans, you'd have to soak them in a nice oil bath and bleed them before install. This is my first Yoder so I don't know $#it
