Definitely -- I'm just on a TRD tune so I've heard they're rich. Think I'll go with a good tune from Justin after my next smog is due.

Having owned 2 supercharger s2000s, a self-tuned g35, and now my Magnuson FJ, I strongly recommend the wideband being before the first cat! Innovate instructions call for it. Mine is on the drivers side Jim Thorley header at the 10 or 2 o’clock position as the instructions called for.

My Innovate PSB-1 uses the Bosch 4.9 LSU and displays boost and afr at same time if needed. Also has a built in failsafe you can program (lights a led, cuts power, etc.) I haven’t needed to do that with @JustDSM ’s tune as it is 11.5 at WOT!

Buy another ECU like I did. One with TRD for Smog and the other with a tune! Just have to put it in a few days before smog to get all the emissions to clear!

For a different tune do you just let him know your mods and he adjusts according? I have an 05 which i think is the easier ecu (metal) to tune

I actually have the stock ECU still. Figured I’d keep it in case I swapped back to n/a for whatever reason… but I don’t think I’ll be doing that unless it’s a v8

I have the Innovate PSB-1 and a fuel pressure MTX-D, using their super easy data logging right now. The PSB-1 is hooked up to the tach wire for rpm (dlc3 pink wire, 3 pulses) and I can log my belt slip issues just using the gauge functionality. I was kind of of hesitant to buy it at first but it's really helped me out

Between the two gauges they log:

    boost
    fuel pressure
    rpm
wideband (urd y pipe, bank a if I remember right)

You should try? How much was the rebuild? My SC only has around 30k miles on it.

didn’t quite have the time yesterday… I should today.

mine has about 15k miles I think.

I had them do basically everything. New rotors, all new bearings seals etc. Solid coupler and 2.8” pulley.
basically the only thing left was the actual TRD housing.
    About $2k shipped round trip.

That is quite a lot of work. I bet it runs pretty solid now. Besides the weepage.

Is that the standard heat exchanger behind the cooler? Looks different for some reason from my magnuson. Been looking at upgrading my core soon if it makes sense.

Definitely. It screams, about 7.5lbs boost I think is the max I’ve seen. All I can hear from the cab

Haha yeah I got a bpf cooling plate and the e fan conversion to try and mitigate more air flow through inches of cooling fins..

I have the TRD supercharger so it seems the design may differ a bit. I considered upgrading the heat exchanger but have decided that a killer chiller and larger reservoir would be more beneficial in regards to overall coolant temperatures. But ive come to understand that the actual restriction in the whole system would definitely be the heat exchanger in the sc itself.

Yes, ive ran it for quite a few years before due to high transmission temps wheeling in Texas heat. Ive seen 230* and after the cooler it never got past 180-190*. Was running 35's on stock gearing, ratiotek shift kit, alot of gear and weight.

Shouldve went this route or tried Jon Bond. The high speed lab has my rotors and has lied 3 times already about when its shipping back. They are saying this tuesday and I told them I am holding them to that. We will see.

fwiw running trd tune is safe, yet rich. leaner the tune more proactive you must be. but its safe and fine. just not optimum.
