The urd filter being a Ford Mustang application was something that I read.

But its Napa Gold # 3296

For either one do you just cut the line insert and clamp down?

 

no. kinda hard to describe. its either a driveline, tuning, or trans issue.

 

Your file is old enough it’s using the same v15 trans calibration data everyone else did. Downshift harshness wouldn’t be due to that file.

I’ve got a few newer revised calibrations but they won’t have any different shift behavior.

 

The URD one clips in with those fancy fuel line clips. I forget what they're called. The Nissan one is the barbed connector style so you cut the fuel line clips on each line and use a fuel line clamp instead.

 

ahh so didn't realize the URD one was plug and play I assumed you had to cut either way. Maybe ill just do the Napa one like the URD. I have a FST setup but need to get the rest of the stuff to get that setup.

 

That's definitely the easier route when you're trying to make things fit up.

 

Do you know if the NAPA one they use has the same fitments and if so I just unclip and clip this one in yah? do i need more fuel line for this or just the filter?

 

Where are folks adding the check valve for the fuel pump?

Certainly could be if the wrong data was used. You can effectively disable all torque mgt and have very firm shifts

 

Ya just drops right in. It's a pretty widely used filter.

 

nice offered a price on ebay some guy had some for less than $10 well see. NAPAs side is tweaking out so will have to look later. For now easy of use works and ill get the FST setup in later on.

 

Makes me think I'm better off leaving the Lexus alone on this matter. It's supposed to be the luxury vehicle after all lol. Probably just s/c it when the whipple comes out. And have the engine/trans tune done on it. Will revisit this topic later down the line.

 

Right in front of the tank at the crossmember. Ignore the leak from the old photo, I was inspecting and ensuring things were all snugged up. Easier than going out to take a new photo.

 

ok nice so I can get the filter clip that in then clip line to filter and add the check valve right after it. @SUMOTNK may need to finally stop by and check your setup out.

 

Psa don’t buy the Dayco 89263 tensioner for the supercharger, it will not fit into the bracket due to the external spring. A bit disappointing because it looks to be a very nice piece made in the USA.

Also it appears the gates tensioner is now made in mexico instead of canada, not sure that it matters though.

 

well, my truck was made south of the border. is that why mines a taco?
