    @Sterling_vH111 I'm surprised it's so difficult in bakersfield. Maybe another area like fresno madera, merced, etc?

    I don't want to jinx myself... but I've always found a way in San Jose. The more questionable the neighborhood, the better my chances got with finding a helpful smog shop.

    I could be convinced to ride my bike over there and get some photos to share with y’all…

    I saw that they are over in Aurora after going to the site and coming back to comment on the post. I dropped them an email asking for install instructions and more photos. I’m mainly wondering if they just copied the Maggy design for the single shear studs or if they did their own design.

    I’ve also heard that CA has been cracking down on people with Montana plates…

    Appreciate it, just shot them an email. Hoping to get a more detailed parts list. For example I don't see injectors listed but it does say "and other related accessories".

    I have not had issues. But I will set the fpr mod to stock. The place I go to would not let a doug throley y-pipe pass, but they will look up the E.O. #'s for the supercharger and intake.

    I am down in Orange County actually.
    I just had a hassle with my truck getting smogged this year, reason as to why at least most shops near me are putting up a fight.
    Two shops wouldn’t even touch it, the third one was a Tacoma guy and said that he could only pass it with an oem intake with the SC.
    I have a Volant (technically illegal) intake that I’ve passed with the truck N/A for a few years prior…
    + my evap can giving me issues it was a $1000 smog battle this year :annoyed:

    I do know it this route… got a few family members dirt bikes with some plates on them.
    I will probably go this route eventually. I’d also like to know how much cops crack down on the plates as i live in a pretty well gentrified suburb. They got nothing better to do.

    The "US Authorized Dealer for VT Racing Superchargers" appears to be co-located with, if not, Speedy Roo Motorsports (SRM). I have no first-hand experience with them but, according to their site, they specialize in Japanese auto repair and tuning. Reviews appear positive. The numbers listed on VT Racing's site and SRM's both went to (seemingly different) voicemail.

    I shot them an email too, and followed up with a phone call, but had to leave a voicemail, no call-back yet.

    I did ask about why injectors didn't seem to be included in the kit. And was told
    "Doesn’t require injectors at the level it is at, if you go smaller pulley or more boost you will need injectors."

    Which has me curious as to the true performance in comparison to the other options available.

    Maybe they are just applying Spinal Tap’s philosophy to the injector duty cycle - 110%.

    A well prepared, bolt-on N/A 1GR at sea level will get IDC to ~80% on stock injectors.

    Is this the same setup we found some Chinese site making? the. There’s guys copied it or relabeled it. At the price they have it’s cheap on some vehicles.

    Do you have any experience with the non-OEM injectors? 23209-YWG01 options tend to be cheaper, and I know that's not always a good indicator of quality, but sometimes you end up with OE performance at a discounted rate.

    I’ve not. Those appear to be an aftermarket copy of the Denso injectors supplied in the TRD/Magnuson kits.

    I’m pretty picky when it comes to injectors. If the manufacture doesn’t take the time or effort do characterize/publish data on their injectors, I generally don’t bother tuning them. Usually ends up in a blame game between the owner, tuner and inj. Mfg.
