Silly question for you guys maybe, since we're doing performance stuff cooling becomes a thing of course so I think you guys will know - when I start my truck, the fan is spinning immediately. It's not clutching in later, basically main belt spin - fan spin. I have a bad fan clutch, don't I?

No big deal I have an idler and tensioner pulley to replace so the fan is coming back on out one more time. I'm a little bummed as the old parts cannon barrel is starting to glow a bit. But if it needs doing, I'm doing it next.

Does it turn freely by hand? Usually they seize up when they fail.

For both my 2014 and 2003 Tacomas, my radiator fan spins on start up.

I call it the Toyota roar. The viscous clutch changes with temps inside of it - not the engine or trans temps.

I looked into manually changing the fluid on my 2003, but it never failed on me before I sold it.

Did you “rebuild” it or swap out a new part?

So we need stay away from NGK and use Denso one?
Or make you when you buy NGK from reliable dealer ship like autozone or advance?
Because my next step to replace my spark plugs and I bought NGK from Ebay for $45... pretty cheap compared if I bought from autozone for $85.
So do you think I got the counterfeit one?
Make me scared to use NGK, especially not easy to replace it on underneath sc.

Holy moly.....I already bought it but good thing knowing early if that's counterfeit one.

So I better buy it from autozone or advance auto parts and use denso instead to avoid counterfeit one.
    Thanks for the clarification PhoS.

Good check. It does! It doesn't just spin freely but it moves easily enough. Oh good a part I don't have to swap out what a surprise, love it.

Just watch the sellers, on Amaz0n for example , if it's ships form/sold by Amaz0n its probably ok but it its sold by "youxiàn gōngsi shoes" you might have a problem.. That goes with any high dollar part/accessory like sensors, bearings, and bulbs all commonly faked. If the price is too good to be true ya know the rest. Buy from a certified reseller.

There is normally some smooth drag from the viscous coupling. You'll know there's a problem if it's roaring going down the road but it is normal for it to be loud for the first 20 seconds on startup.

I bought an after market fan clutch for the taco and it sucked. It worked.......100% of the time. Not in a good way. About 25 mph "if I recall" it would lock up and everywhere I went roaring and establishing my dominance like a little dude in a overly large truck.

You definitely right, I should buy from certified reseller. I just never think spark plugs counterfeit reach American land... I thought that available only at third country .

Btw buy these from ebay and I just read the feedback from three buyer who's buy it from him.
1 said is counterfeit spark plugs with the picture melting spark plugs.
