Did you buy all of your components from snow? Where are you injecting? Pic?

 

And how is it connected to see injector pulse width?

 

Trans temps hit sustained 230 and engine peaks of 222 via ultra gauge during longoff road hill climbs this weekend. Need to get that radiator from URD, but what are you guys running for better than OEM trans coolers?

 

Long Tru Cool 4920. Fits right below the condenser for a clean install.

 

Yeah, what’s worse, the factory temp gauge didn’t budge off center. Definitely shows the need for better gauges.

I will post new pics in a couple hours. Injector pulse is tapped off via t-taps on passenger side injector. Now I can see a percentage read of load as I'm driving. Example. At 60mph I'm at about 9% load.

That's such BS. I really dislike how that gauge is mostly a dummy gauge. Hey let me go ahead and let my cooling system fail and my gauge not notify me until I have blown my heads and am seeing smoke come out from under the hood.

So I was gonna wait to share this but now that the factory temp gauge is up as a subject matter I might as well post it.

I added a couple more guages to my setup. I have not yet installed my awesome radiator but I’ve ran the wires and just need to tap in the sensor to the radiator once installed and plug in the fuse tap for power to the water temp gauge.

So here you go....

 

The temp gauge is just as smart or dumb as most other car gauges. If you're paying attention when your radiator blows, it'll move fast enough to tell you something is wrong and you need to shut down ASAP.

 

I thought of a scan gauge too but I wanted to add a couple more gauges and like the look.

 

oh, I just meant instead of the factory POS theres a few options..... Man those oem ones are a joke

After researching more, any recommendations on the bypass/Tstat? The one with the Tru Cool is a 180 degree, my trans is often at 160 when locked at freeway cruise, meaning to switch to the Tru Cool stat would raise temps by 20 degrees in freeway cruise. May not be a bad thing depending on the specified operating temps of the trans, which I haven't seen those numbers yet. There are other transmission T-stats that offer a wide variety of operational temp ranges to chose from to be more configurable. Being I spend some time in winters with temps in the teens or less, the trans cooler needs a way to regulate the flow to the oversized intercooler to prevent overcooling.

I need the trans to operate at 100+ degrees in offroad slow hill climbs that gain 1000s of feet, while also working in 10 degrees at highway cruise.
