Oh stop it. Lol. Like I literally think you, me, and a very select handful of others would be able to run this belt or something smaller due to our setups.

Not that anyone here needs one, but URD put the Magnuson superchargers on sale for 7% off.

@Torspd never had a bolt-on supercharger. He only works with custom turbos. ;)

When I installed the Ucon, Gadget advised me to turn the hood to the snorkel backwards. Having it forward causes turbulance I guess. I could see that if it was a sealed intake and hooked properly to the factory intake. I am running the AFE stage II intake with the Volant filter. I also just have the rubber elbow of the snorkel sitting in the inlet of the intake (the snorkel piece is about half the size of the inlet for intake), the top plate has 1/2" spacers on the back side of the lid so it isn't sealed and I have the plug removed from the box. So now that you all know my setup, this is what I encountered this weekend towing. Having the hood backwards my intake temp was about 15-20 degrees warmer than ambient. So when I stopped to gas up I turned the hood forward. And immediately like before the Ucon, as soon as I get going down the highway my intake temp drops to ambient. It has just enough ram air to push air into the box. But i don't want "ram air" so that is why I space the lid on the back side to let the hotter excess air have an exit. But this time when I did it I got the P0172, P0175, P3260 codes within 10 miles (but there is a 6% grade climb for 2-3 miles and I ran at 4400-4800 rpm in 3rd gear the whole way). Had enough power and rpm to even accelerate to 70mph. Speed limit is 65. Passed a couple diesels towing campers or SXS's even. Was super impressed as I could not do that last year with my old lighter camper. 4.88's and Ucon made a huge difference. Trans temp only got to 207. So I was really impressed until I saw the check engine light. So I reset the light and continued to my buddies cabin. Got there and googled the codes and decided to turn the snorkel head sideways to see if I could get just enough air to keep the intake air temp at ambient while we ran into West Yellowstone for some walking and shopping and a beer. Light came back on, P0175. Reset it and drove home with it sideways. Light came on. Turned the head backwards and now no light, but it has just been driving to work and home with a top speed of 45 and only 3 miles one way. So my long story and question to you all. Order a new MAF sensor? And what set up would you run with a snorkel and AFE intake. Do you think this is a MAF issue, a snorkel head issue, a Ucon issue, or a running the piss out of it pulling up that hill issue (except it did it again not pulling. Hmmm). Never had this before and the head has always been facing forward. I can't see how it can really make any turbulence with all the other areas opened up and it not being sealed to the box, but maybe. Truck has 117k on it. Thank you everyone that read this all the way through.

Yes I do. LOL factory cooler off of a 06 Dodge cummins 3500. But honestly I wasn't impressed with it until I removed my massive FYRLYT's from the front bumper. Now it gets air to do its job. It worked before, now it works great.

Used to tow this thing. Usually 5.5k lbs + when loaded. Truck wasn't the happiest, but it didn't complain. IMG_2868.jpg

For the 0172/0175 codes, a message to Scott (via URD) got it fixed in a session or 2. I sawe verything from both banks to lean to both banks too rich. He tweaked pulse width and something else and we got it all figured out. since those session I have had zero issues. I thought it was odd that they tripped ONLY after a few miles on the interstate at 65+ mph. Around town driving and to/from work, staying 55 and below....never saw those codes trip. I figured it had something to do with the more air/fuel combo throwing something off. I also cleaned my MAF sensor (running the URD TCAI) and normally fixed any issue I had.....before S/C haha

I dont know why you would have your intake lid vented, have the plug removed, and not have ram air. You want the colder ambient air and any possible ram air would be negated by the supercharger. Besides, you said the snorkel is not sealed to the intake so you would not get any ram air anyway, just some fresh ambient air blowing unsealed into the intake inlet.
By venting your intake lid and having the plug removed you are sucking hot air into the engine as you proved to yourself.
Your codes may be caused because you were trying different things without resetting the UCON by removing the negative battery terminal for at least 3 minutes.
If it were my truck I would seal the lid, put the plug back in the intake, put snorkel forward, clean MAF, reset the ecu and run it!

I had had it out on the road many times before this with no issue. I am going to reset the ecu and see what that does. Thank you for the response and help. I will get ahold of URD if that doesn't fix it and order a AEM AFR x-guage. I am tired of the Innovate working only if I re-calibrate it every other day. It was working when the light went off though and it was 12.2:1. If it was accurate. LOL

Will do all of that. Thank you. What is your take on turbulence being made by the snorkel? should be no less than the URD intake, should it?

Yea minus getting a faulty gauge itself from AEM (boost gauge) the other products have been great and the customer service with the faulty gauge was top notch

I havent tested it but there could be some before the filter. That would apply to a certain extent though with or without the snorkel. The air filter should straighten out the flow though I would think as the engine is pulling the air through it.
Question for you though, why do you have the snorkel attached or sitting in the inlet at all if your not sealing it up to the intake?
Can you make the snorkel inlet bigger so it's not a restriction then seal it to the intake? As it is now it's not going to prevent water intrusion so it's kind of useless as is.
Another thing you could try if you do in fact have a turbulence problem is an air flow conditioner from Treadstone Performance. It's a honeycombed shape insert you would put in your intake a couple inches prior to the MAF. Its job is to straighten airflow and eliminate turbulence for accurate readings.
I saw @Torspd post about it long ago.
