Found my bypass valve adjustment. Couldn't hold the yoga pose long enough in the rain to care today. It is hitting the stop only telling me it's most likely not adjusted to my benefit. To be continued......

If i can somehow manage to find a used one, and i mailed it to you, would you be willing to flash it for me? I can pay postage both ways of course, and whatever you feel is a fair price to reflash it

pretty much this. If I was registered out of the city.. or had a historic plate like my 86.. I wouldnt have to deal with this.

I can double check tomorrow at work. I tried to save a trd file and it won’t save.

Ya if you send me the ecu I can plug it into my truck and reflash with the trd tune and send it back. I don’t think there will be any problems with that.

True. I went to craigslist. Found a super cool dude. He let me do most of the work. It worked out great for me.

The engineers design the system but who knows what minimum wage worker is doing the factory adjustment.
There is possibly a minimal amount of break in where the set screw meets the stop but very little if any. It might set more if restrictor jet removed due to hitting the stop harder.
There will also possibly be small changes in clearances due to temperature variations but you would know if it every bonded closed as you would always have boost. That would be bad.
You dont want any air being bypassed through there when closed. That is just a loss of efficiency.

This is a good baseline starting point. Find a zero point ECU, if you can get that potentially @o0opackersfano0o can get his hands on the TRD flash file and do a reflash on the bench. If he can all you do is pay for shipping to and from, and possibly buy him a beer, or lunch or something and you're back in business! Excited for the possibilities of getting you back straight here @rjbiii!

I do know of one individual in my area (like 75 miles from me) with a 6spd 4wd. Might have to talk him into swapping with me to see if there is any difference..

If you find yourself in Houston, I can also flash your truck. Provided the flash is still on TIS. I have a Mongoose cable.

I think I'm around 75 idc with the 61lb injectors and no 7th or meth.
The larger the injector, the harder it is to control precise afr at idle. Think about trying to get a nice atomizing spray with a huge nozzle only open 1% of its duty cycle vs a smaller nozzle open 5% of the time at idle.
