Huge thanks to @crashnburn80! Couldn't have done it without him. Fuel pump and pulley/belt swap. Truck seems to run better with a 2.5 pulley. Afr gauges are more stable. Love the new frequency this thing makes!

 

Looks like it’s right at 2 liters. Ordered some of these to weld in, they’re about 5$ on eBay

I just did a battery relocate and the same reservior install that 12TRD did anyways. Hated that leaky little resin soda can they call a coolant reservior.

Nice find man. Should fit. For that price I'd MAKE it fit.

 

That thing is an absolute beast, and would cool the smallest pulley anyone could throw at it.

 

Wonder if it also would keep the motor cooler too?

 

I personally think the intercooler is not the issue rather the heat exchanger inside the blower. If you can fit more heat exchanger in there then I think that there would be much cooler temps to be had honestly. That's personally me, but going a custom route with something like that would not be something cheap to do I imagine.

 

True.maybe a riser on the s/c allowing a bigger exhanger?

 

Something to explore, but the piece I believe is a one piece design. Where the intercooler is literally welded to the cover. We would not only have to make a riser for the blower as a whole but a new cover and intercooler.

Needless to say almost all hands in this thread would have to be on deck to keep the fabrication costs down I'd imagine. Then there is a question of keeping it mostly stock looking too. Just putting a nice black coat on it like stock does without the big old TRD letters.

 

Just bite the bullet and install a Killer Chiller. 40 degree intercooler coolant all day every day.
