So at a minimum he has different injectors. You would need the TRD cal file with the 668 cc injectors.

Or a used facotry ECU, then swap in those injectors.

Well I got P219A again.. sigh.

It always happens at idle. I have no idea how to fix it at this point or what’s wrong with it.

My ballast in the fuel pump housing still wont go below 3/4 tank after I adjusted and got the top white ring on tight 1.5 weeks ago.

    What was P219A again?

It sounds like you have a bad fuel sender unit. Which is somewhat of a common occurance. They're somewhat delicate and it it is damaged even a little bit on removal or re-entry back into the tank they will go bad.

I used to get P219a and p219b. Scott did something to the UCON and it never happened again.

Mine seemed to set it at idle as well.

Grant do you still have cats? I forget..

Nope no cats, scott made the “fix” a long time ago.

The first time P219A ever came was 50 miles and the day after I installed the ucon.

    You don’t wanna hear this...
Do a leak down test. You’re looking for leakage past the valves primarily. Pressurize each cyl @ tdc on comp stroke. Listen to the intake, exhaust, and oil filler.

Here’s the TSB. It’s for 2015 models, but could be the end result for other year 1GR engines.

I doubt you need a new head. It’s something to do with how the UCON is sending unicorns and rainbows to the ECU.

This is not actual engine related. This is purely a software issue as the issue begun the moment he switched to UCON.

You might want to look into the UCON itself, as it is the one which is the root of the problem.

Pull the spark plugs. You’ll need to pressurize each cylinder with compressed air with the valves closed. I’ve got a regular compression tester hose that I remove the Schrader valve from and hook to my compressor hose up to. Crank the motor by hand until you’re in position and apply the air. Have a buddy hold the crank with a breaker bar. Now, while it’s pressurized, listen at the intake, exhaust, and the oil filler. If you hear a lot of hissing, you’ll know which cylinder and which valve is the trouble. In the event of a lot of leakage at the oil filler, obviously, there’s leakage past the piston/rings. There are actual leak down gauges out there that you can buy or rent. They will give you a percentage of leakage number. But imo, that number is unimportant. Just listen to the difference between cylinders and you’ll know where your problem is.

He only has 40K. The chances that his head (s) are toast is very slim.
