    Agreed. Very unlikely. In fact, I personally have never seen it. From what I’ve read tho, he bought that truck two years old with 12k on the clock. Previous owner hurt it and traded it in?

    I was just interested in the code. The leak down testing won’t cost anything but time and a couple beers for someone to assist. With that ucon in there though, I dunno. I’m no fan of piggybacked management.

    Previous owner was 70 and never drove it, got it somewhat cheap I think he either didnt know what it was worth or didnt care.

    How much of a bitch would it be to remove the UCON temporarily? Any mods that just gotta have it? I’ve never messed with one.

    It is possible that injectors could cause a p219a. But only if the flow rates among the set are not matched well.

    If a p219a/b is set and it is injector related, the p219a/b would be accompanied by a p0300 or p0301/2/3/4/5/6.

    As it’s been covered though, in this instance it’s most likely not a mechanical issue.

    Back before the UCON when I had only the TRD flash, I tried a URD AFR sensor calibrator which is basically a Split Second AFR sensor calibrator with URD stamped on the lid.

    That thing gave me a p219a and p219b as well.

    It’s just whatever tech that Split Second and Itronix are using to manipulate the AFR signals must not be precise enough for the newer Taco ECU.

    My truck is proof that the UCON can work, because I have not had the p219a/b since back in the very beginning before they changed the tune.

    Its a YMMV thing. I had horrible results with the Bully Dog tune. And people are out there running around having no issues with it.

    I did have P219A which was accompanied by P0300 sometime. Then I changed the plugs and fixed the pump issues, no P0300 since.
