I’ve had great luck with the optimas. Now, that being said. I am getting them directly from Interstate. Not Walmart or eBay. I know that they’re different. The interstate guys will not warranty one that isn’t theirs. Apparently they’re not all coming from the same place.

 

Which terminals are you running. Nice set up.

 

I’m using northstar 31m now due to group buy last year. Couldn’t be happier. I used to run odyssey batteries in the past. Used to get them discounted at work when I was employed by their parent company. Top notch quality control. I’d use odyssey now if it wasn’t for the good deal I got on my current one.

Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a factory Panasonic lead acid. The first one lasted me 6 years and that’s when I’ve driven the hardest. It was a beast of a factory battery.

You know I'm sure if we looked hard enough we could find someone who sells the Panasonic batteries.

Mine only last about 2 years.. but then again my truck sat for I have no idea how long. Lot rot.

 

I modded my Lotek to fit as well. I think it looks fine.

 

My Northstar AGM 27F and my son's 24F both came courtesy of @ramonortiz55 Group Buys. (My Battery Hold Down is, of course, courtesy of @Coupe.) FWIW, I highly recommend both.

 

I’m just a closet perfectionist.

 

I'm using these. They were like 10 bucks each.

 

Does the stock oil cap fit on the tundra filler neck, or do you have to replace it?

 

Double check before you do any sort of install but it should fit right up.

The Tundra and Tacoma oil caps are interchangeable.
