TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Because we only test the limits of our mods either in an ohv location or closed course

Slow day at work yesterday - I went way to far down that rabbit hole in the third gen thread. That's deeper than this rabbit hole of a thread...but 99.9% B.S. over there

 

Meh.....F'em if they cant take a joke.....mods too.

 

Mods must be a 3rd gen fan.....what was his actual offense?

There is so much FAIL in that thread! Perusing it is like rubber-necking at a multi-car pile-up - you know you shouldn't, but can't help yourself...

 

You should get one. Are your headers' shiny or ceramic? I had headers on the honda and once they got a bit oxidized and looked old smog guys ignored them. first time the guy noticed them and gave me crap but let me pass.

The TRD headers? They were made by TRD for 1st gen Tacomas back in the day....they were discontinued though probably 10 years ago now. The previous owner put them on my truck back in the day. They came with a CARB sticker just like the supercharger that goes under the hood

 

I'd print this out and bring it along with you. Sometimes they update the EO number even on same part. It has happened on the S/C a few times. If they get real picky you have to have the most current EO number on your document or sticker.

Black ceramic unfortunately. So the dealerships can order those? I can’t say I’ve ever seen a sticker for the 4.7 blower.
