TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

The URD is a 2&1/4 pipe I believe. The JFR is 2&1/2 right???

Both the URD and JFR are 2.25" on the primary tubes. JFR has your choice of 2.5" or 3" on the merge collector/outlet. I'm going with 3" outlet. The URD merge/outlet is 2.5" I believe. IIRCt the outlet of the URD y-pipe was slightly smaller than the 3"banks exhaust I installed after the y-pipe.

 

Is there a line started? I thought I was in line a few posts ago, but am also needing/wanting y-pipe or headers. I am trying to save up for roostfactor y-pipe and URD headers, not sure about silencer at this time.

 

Id of the merge on the urd should be 2 1/4.

 

Dumb question, but Mat is busy with an update on tunes and has not responded back yet. I am planning on installing SC this weekend. I have not received a tune back yet from OV, but wanted to know if I should wait on install. Is it okay to install and run the SC hardware while waiting for tuning software? Thanks.

 

How much? Can access the website from work. I won’t tell your wife. My biggest fear is that when I die my wife parts out my truck and garage for what she thinks I actually paid for everything.

 

I wouldn’t drive the truck until you have the tune. If you had to drive with out a tune, keep the motor out of high loads. You don’t want it boosting with out a tune, and it still may not get proper fueling since you will have bigger injectors in.

Yeah unfortunately with as slow as things go with ovtune, I'd hold off on the install until you have a time readily available.

So I still have my urd y for my 4runner. Looks like 2 1/4. I'll look again in better light later.

 

I guess I made the cut for the latest batch of URD headers. Should be delivered tomorrow!

Thanks, I was able to open the PDF from home. I was kinda hoping that was ASD which equates to about $890 USD. I sent Ward a note last night. He was great to work with and really helped make possible my LRA tank on my Long Bed a reality.

 

My headers and sims arrive today.

 

@rmepilot @JacksonTacoma Let me know how you guys like the longtube/sim combo. I’ve always been opposed to using sims. I just want to know how they work out after running them for a little while.

I was in your boat for a long time, but decided that I wanted better sound and performance.

My install won't be until next month, do to other priorities.
