TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I have no idea. But I think I need one.

 

It provides cooling to the snout area of the blower. It's not talked about much but I'd assume it's not horribly effective for OE design, but more for the overdrive design the venom mods provide since they may cause more heat. So they may be a necessary evil as part of that performance package.

For OE I don't see a huge use for it since the snout is not what generates tons of heat. The roots screws are what actually do.

Don't mind me. I am just spitballing here regarding that.

 

I know. I had the same thought. It’s listed under TRD. I wonder what’s in stage 8 porting.

PSE maybe. Need to recheck. For the cerakote I have no idea. Would have to ask.

My engine comes with MLS gaskets from the factory pretty much all the way around. Even the exhaust manifolds.

 

Idk...if it were really as simple as just “look a hole! Let’s make it bigger!” Wouldn’t it just come from the factory with giant holes?

 

Factory's rarely sell something at maximum output. Design can often be conservative for longevity. Probably why our trucks dont make 500hp stock.

 

Way I see it is this.

Eaton has revised their supercharger designs for over 5 different iterations now improving on their design over the previous. If they didn't optimize it for maximum airflow as they claim then they are failing as a company to grow internally. Obviously they improved roots as a whole and eventually only offered twin screw iterations but that is an evolution of the companys approach as a whole.

Judt my thoughts.

 

True, our version is damn good. But I always ponder improvement.

 

The cool thing about the HPtuner is if someone else dials in a good tune for a similar setup of mods, they can share that tune with you.
