Install wasn't bad at all. The instructions snow provides makes it pretty straight forward if you can make sense of a wiring diagram.

Is 4 large mufflers and 2 resonators a bit ridiculous? Right now I have 2 Borla XR1 that are 14x6.25 with 2 6x4 magnaflow race mufflers and 2 vibrant 12” bottle resonators. Now I have some Borla S-Type that are 10x5 to switch out the magnaflow.

The car draws a bit too much attention. Got the universal 3 honks the other night. When my mom was in the car lol.

 

I would do 4 vibrant ultra quiet resinator and 2 mufflers.

 

Low ground clearance problems. And narrow exhaust tunnel so oval mufflers don’t fit great in the mid section.

 

So, A/F sensor placement? In the center tube of the headers or rebuild the extensions or extend the wires of the sensor itself and move to after the collector?

 

I'd prefer them at the collector so long as you don't have a cat in between. That way you sample the entire bank, not just the optimum (center) hole.

 

I agree with this.

 

Wire extension is a short term change for the benefits of sampling all cylinders. Make sure to tighten the blanks up top.....ask me how I know.

 

I love how taking out the middle man eliminates several potential failure points.

 

Can some direct me to a torque guide for the critical bolts on s/c install please?

I accidentally put the FJ manual. Edited to the Tacoma link, though the torque specs are probably similar.

Would any of you guys be interested in some billet fuel rails? They'll be a little pricey, but if we can get a larger batch made, the price will be much more tolerable.

 

Yes, but no one had a figure of approximately how much horse power can be run with the stock rail at stock fuel pressure target.

 

I'm sure the stock ones will support plenty for what most of us are running, but I don't know of anyone doing calculations to estimate the limit. @Torspd may have come across this info in the past...

For me, the billet fuel rails will be more for allowing me to hook the 8an line I have ran to the engine bay directly to the fuel rail, making it easier to install an aftermarket FPR and also add a touch of bling.
