    I suppose another question I have about it, is the AFE Momentum intake that much better than the AFE Magnum, is the $150 increase in price worth it? The design looks better, however performance wise, I'm wondering if anyone has done a comparison between the two.

    FWIW, I have the URD Y-pipe with the slip over joint on one side. I had that converted to a v-band and there was a significant change in sound. I guess there had always been a leak of some sort even though the pipe wasn’t blackened at that joint.

    The noice I heard and recorded was normal with the removal of the stock air intake. Just sounded like air. Not high pitched. Tough the describe if you don’t hear it. As a side note, my intercooler reservoir was bone dry. Even after I had the dealer do a full fluids inspection. I replaced pulley and air intake at the same time so butt dyno thought it was better. I would never do it if I were NA. I have plans for future smaller pulley, fuel pump, exhaust so this was just to get it ready. Oh and I also have 4Runner throttle body (slightly bigger than stock).

    I got the more expensive one and haven’t compared to cheaper one. I guess at this point $150 wasn’t much of a difference to me. I’m so deep in $$$ on this truck it’s not even funny. As long as it doesn’t break the bank....

    I'm sure we lose lots of power with heat. I live in a much more temperate climate than you ind I feel a substantial difference.
