those effing fuel connections were the baine for me.

 

also, almost forgot to install the replaceable fuel filter. had everything ready to go and needed a couple of zip ties and remembered i had some in the kit and when i got there the fuel filter was staring me in the face.

yeah those squeeze fuel line connectors can be a bitch. its like i am pushing in fucker, release

 

I understand. I actually said fuck it and cut one off and used some silicone hose. think it was to the filler vent. no problems yet. that guy that designed those fittings probably still laughs and tells the story at the poker table.

 

Same for me. That xxxx-sucker by the fuel cap would not let go

 

yeah, the one going to the fuel filler was a bitch just cuz there was no room to really work and get in there

 

This is making me look forward to installing a new fuel pump even more!

 

it has its moments but with a capable friend it's not that bad. I do suggest the fuel pump upgrade hose.
someone here probably has a link. we used boiling water to heat the hose for install. if I did it again I'd use a heat gun.

 

Guys, why drop the tank??? Unless your by yourself. But 2 friends and lift the bed right off. I had to replace the stock fuel pump before it made I cake.

 

won't work on short bed double cabs.

 

dcsb trucks have the opening under the cab.

 

yeah it was just me. also, i have a transmission jack, so its not that difficult to drop. had more issues with connections for fuel and everything else than i did dropping the tank

 

By myself, tank dropped, 1 hour max.

 

Mad man!

 

It’s actually not difficult. I had my tank down in very short order. Getting the new tank up, now that’s a different story...

 

Talking about dropping the gas tank and having issues..
