I mean... $2400 with $1450 in parts, that's only $950 for labor which seams reasonable for a lift.

$950 to install a grille, 4 shocks, and 2 spacers ,Yikes… Hopefully alignment is included with that.

Lol . I went with the Bilstein version of the lift, plus had a 7 foot snowplow bolted to my new Tacoma. I have zero issues with my warranty. My 2nd gen had the same setup, never any warranty issues . Even had the frame replaced. The 8 holes drilled in to mount my plow frame didn’t void any recall or subsequent warranty work. Was even able to get carrier bearing and ujoints replaced when Toyota ran an ‘enhanced warranty campaign’ for driveline vibrations. They covered repairs at 120k miles . Never a problem.

It was. Think it also included something with brake lines? And recalibration of TSS

1/2 a day thats impressive. It took me a little more than a day to do front and rear but, it was my first lift definitely being a noob contributed to how slow it went.

I had done my son's 2014 suspension a couple months before, so had the process down.
I knew all of the tools that I would need and learned a few tricks about the order of things. His took multiple days, but a significant part of that was just rusty fasteners, which I didn't have to deal with on mine.

I just had this done last week, I called every dealership around and some in other states within 2 hours of me. I was told a little bit of everything about labor and parts as this is just like a car deal they can work with you on the price. 3250 plus tax was the highest quote I got for kit and install. Cheapest was 1961 OTD 173 of that total was tax. My dealership matched the cheapest bid and actually gave me back some on labor, charged me for 4 hours but it only took 3.5 . This was alignment included with the price. I am sure that I could have done it elsewhere or myself cheaper but liked the fact that the dealership where I will do my first 25k of service did it and will deal with any issues if they arise. Also I have no clue on mechanical work, I wish I did. If they tell you 10 to 11 hours of labor I would refer them to the Toyota press release that says 4 to 5. My appointment was at 8 AM , I left at 1130 Am. Good news is that I really like the way it looks and drives. Totally changed the look of the truck for the better in my opinion.

The kit comes with extended brake lines . The TSS shouldn’t need to be recalibrated, mine didn’t, but I don’t really know their reasons.

Aside from the parts swapping and brake bleeding; The install instructions show that TSS sensor calibration, an alignment, and headlamp aiming are all supposed to be done when installing this kit.

I don't know what the recalibration of your TSS encompasses, I am clueless on things of that nature! The kit comes with a new sensor and the old one is still attached to my old grille. I would imagine if they had used the old one and the lift had messed it up then they may have had to adjust or places something different but the new one was probably just put in the new grille and plugged in? I guess I have an extra sensor if anything ever goes wrong . Here is mine with the TRD lift and Falken 265 75 16, I liked the wheels on the SR5 already. I like the slight lift it gives and the different size tires.IMG_20220717_081332670_HDR.jpg

I contacted 13 dealers in the metro Portland Oregon area inquiring about the TRD Lift Kit
    (PT84K35221) parts + install pricing.

Of the ones that bothered responding:

Royal Moore Toyota (Hillsboro): $2500 (They later told me the product specialist gave me an incorrect quote but they honored this price)

Toyota of Portland on Broadway: $2647

    Beaverton Toyota: $2700

    Damian Lillard Toyota (McMinnville): $2750

    Toyota of Gladstone: $3370

I got a price from my dealer for the TRD pro lift. $2800 total and includes adjusting all radar and collision sensors due to the change in height

And everyone thinks it keeps them in their factory warranty, it does not, it only is for 12 months after install, unless you bought the truck and did at time of purchase. So 12 months after you buy it they can still be like ya your lift did this, pound sand.
