full disclosure, I am no vinyl expert by any means, wrapped some tail lights once on a 2nd gen, that's the extent. I had the same exact experience as you. I am not asking for a replacement set, I gave up after 2 wheels and pulled them off. Not bashing the product, I think it is quality material and an awesome idea. Execution is a little off from time to time but I would suspect that's part of the process, nothing is perfect every time. Not complaining, just sharing my experience for feedback as well.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Applying these decals to the wheel is definitely more complicated than say...applying a decal to a car window. I think some guys are just really good at it and make it seem like a piece of cake, but it definitely takes a clear mind, patience, and a bit of practice to get it done. It can get frustrating, I've been in that position before, but it's also a good feeling when you get them on after almost giving up!

If you want to try again, message me and I will send you some to replace the ones you pulled off! I'm almost always available if you feel that you need to message me for help during the process or have a question.

I appreciate it a lot. Like I said I think the product is a wonderful idea and a definite need for someone like me who isn't gonna lay down a ton of money for a cosmetic part that I'm gonna bang on rocks. haha. I may give it another shot at some point, just not right now. If I do, I will let you know how the second round goes for sure.

Sounds good! The offer still stands if you are a few decals short when you decide to give it another try!

@JARStacoma, this is what I wrote about the wet method a while back. You will get a set of tips in your package to help you out and if you need help during the process you can always message me. :) I prefer this method since it is easy to remove and reposition the decal, but its all personal preference on how you apply it to your wheel.

Just in case the quote is hard to read on some devices, I copied and pasted it here:

I call it the water method, but it's actually the wet method if you see it talked about elsewhere!

    • First, clean your hands and the application area with rubbing alcohol/isopropyl alcohol.
    • Then, take a small, clean spray bottle- you can buy these in the travel beauty section for like a dollar. I actually use my daughter's American Girl spray bottle from the hair kit. If you are like my husband, just ask your wife for one.
    • Very lightly spray water on the sticky side of the decal AND on the cleaned, application surface.
    • Slowly place the decal on the application area, I typically like to line up the bottom corners, making sure they are all covered before slowly moving one side up at a time following behind with a squeegee to make sure all of the water/bubbles get out from under the decal. You can then wipe off excess water after you are done.
    • Most importantly, make sure you run over every edge so that the vinyl is fully adhered to your wheel on every corner, angle, side...etc...
The nice thing about the water/wet method is that you can easily - but carefully- take it off and reposition it without stretching the vinyl. Once you do about one or two of them, you will be sticking them on like a pro! Trust me! :) We always provide extras in every order so you will have a few to play with before you get the hang of it.

Got my set today and put them on! As long as you have a lot of patience they go on good. Sadly I didn’t have the patience but I am still pleased with how they turned out. Thanks again!

I found that putting them on dry created less creasing and bubbles than putting them on wet
