To get the bubbles out just use a heat gun on low until it melts. But first wait a few days they usually come out on there own. I check my wheels every few weeks and so far only 1 time i had a few extra bubbles appear near the edge of the wheel where its rounded curve. Took a heat gun to it and melted the bubble. Basically you getting that moisture out of there. I used the wet method application so i probably had some moisture still in there.

 

Which color matches the factory black sections on the wheel? I assume the gloss?

 

I personally like the matte black.

 

Thanks for the tip, @Monopod! I've never tried the heat gun, but I know a hair dryer will help secure vinyl to a surface.

Preventing water/air bubbles is key. I always follow behind the decal with a squeegee or card as I place it to make sure I push out all of the bubbles. Some small bubbles will still linger if you go too fast, but for the most part following behind will push out most water/air bubbles.

Yes. Not the best picture, but it will give you a general idea of the differences.

From a few feet away, they almost look identical, but I prefer the matte black upclose.

I can gather some feedback from a few guys who I know have had them on for a while. I have had these on for almost two years and personally never had an issue with one peeling/coming off on its own.

It is important to make sure your hands and wheels are clean during installation and that all sides are secure after installation. I always recommend to go back over the decals with your fingers a few hours after installation (before driving) to make sure that all of the sides are smoothed down. This is especially important if using the wet method since the water is a barrier for the adhesive and may take a bit of time to fully dry. If you take the extra measures during installation, you shouldn't have an issue with durability.

Finally got mine on. Proved to be a difficult since it's 95 degrees here but I'm happy with the way it came out. Patience is key.
