    Hi everyone, I have a 2003 Tacoma PreRunner SR5 with the rear locker and no TRD Off Road bed decals. My dad and I upgraded the suspension to the OEM Bilsteins that came with the Off Road at around 73K (he purchased the truck with 72K). I have done research on the trims and packages offered for the 03 Tacomas and have gathered from the brochure that the locker is only available on the TRD Off Road package. From this information, I am considering adding OEM TRD Off Road bed decals to my truck. However, I don't want to falsely upbadge my truck if I do not have the genuine TRD Off Road package. Do any of you know if the locker was an option for the SR5 package? Also, if I do indeed have the TRD package, should I install OEM bed decals on my truck? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

    For reference, I have included a couple exterior pictures of the truck, which can be viewable on the thread below.

    4 run, 2 don't
    Locker = TRD

    Who cares what you put on your truck though?

    You need validation from no one.

    It's your truck; the hell with what others think.

    I decided to go forward with the decals. I just wanted to preserve the OEM look. Thank you!

    Just put one on one side, split the difference. See which side you then look back at and smile. Go with that one.

    Just do it, the issue most guys here have are mis-represented models sold at the wrong price.

    It's an issue dating back to the 50's, but with carfax and vin checks its harder and harder to fool people.

    You have an awesome truck and the decals will make you happy.

    I love the later model 1st gens like yours the grill is perfect.

    A while ago I scraped a pole and scratched the rear side of the bed a little. Put red/gray TRD stickers to hide the damage but they ended up looking great. They're higher up than genuine because that's where I scratched it. It's ok though because I also stole my mom's '05 TRD floor mats.

    Looks like my trd did when I got it...color matched bumpers, same rims. I'd put a sticker on it.

    You likely have a TRD, but if not, I still say go for it!

    Pic of the decal on my 1999. As an FYI, your VIN will not reflect if your truck originally came with the TRD OFF ROAD package, but it will be on the window sticker.
