can I remove my fender flares completely? Or are there holes where the fender mounts on? Also, do the SR5 models have flares at all? I’d like to take mine off but I don’t want to expose any holes. Thanks in advanced!

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
You could swap for body colored flares with someone in your area, if you don't like the black. There are holes exposed once you take the flares off.

SR5’s do not have flares, but I saw a thread where people seemed interested in getting them. Check it out and u could possibly sell if u don’t like them.

These are the holes that are exposed when you remove the fender flares. Pic during Meso’s Fender Swap. Don’t pay attention to the holes above the ⭕️ because those were intentionally added on his truck. Just gives you an idea.

The SR5s have color matched flares. The SR comes without. Right?

SR's don't have flares but I have thought about adding some, maybe, thinking they would help keep the mud and dirt off the fenders if they stick out a bit more than my stock fensers.New tires 011.jpg

If you get rid of your fender flares, I’ll take them tho. I’d love to have a backup set. I have something planned with mine but I’m not sure if I’ll like it or not. However, once you make a cut, you can’t go back with these items.

Some SR5's do come with factory flares and some do not.

You can go aftermarket or OEM. For the OEM route, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fender-flare-installation-on-non-flared-tacomas-tutorial.494336/
