Get the TRD Off Road with no extras. Leather interiors are for your grandparents and for the 29 year olds that cruise around metro Atlanta making $45k a year with a $700 a month payment on a compact BMW. Jeeps are for girls and college d-bags with rich parents.

OP, if you can afford it, always go for more options, imo

I would have liked leather myself, but I wasn’t willing to pay an extra 5-7k for that, a moon roof (which I don’t want), and the “upgraded audio”. I have the cloth seats with the tech package and I’m content. Cloth ages better than leather does folks. Keep that in mind.

The clazzios look just as good as factory leather and they're $500.

If you don’t need the longer (actually useable) bed offered with the OR, then go with the Pro. The seats are nice and have been holding up way better than I thought they would with my kid climbing all over em and me tossing shit constantly in the backseat because I don’t have a cover or tool box in the back. That and the Pro comes stock with all the stuff that people are apparently trying to buy to turn their _____ trim into a Pro-looking trim. If you’re one of them, the factory did the work for you lol. If you aren’t and like to upgrade, there’s a market for your take-offs lol.

Depending on your dealer, their incentives, and your ability to con a con artist, there shouldn’t be a real price difference between the PRO and a premium OR. Should you trade in/sell it in a few years, it will give you the better resale because of the features alone.

For me on the DCLB OR, I had no desire for the leather and JBL, but I love the sunroof, and seat heater, and forced into Premium. I love the truck though.

My child has thrown up twice during road trips. Leather is much easier to clean vs cloth.

I went through same deliberations for on ORAC build / allocation. Personally I'm leaning toward applying cost of 'premium' to the new TRD lift instead (even thouhg it is overpriced), prefer that to spending on heated leather seats moonroof louder radio - its a subjective and personal preference/situation decision with no wrong answer.

Agree 100%. In this CA frigid days - I use it constantly. Now I wish I had heated steering wheel

To me the moonroof is my favorite part about the premium package. Lightens up the interior so much. Even though its not pano roof - good enough for me

Love the sunroof in my truck too, just wish we had more nice days to take advantage of it, lol.

Both premium and technology packages were definitely worth it for my 2018 TRD Sport. My 1996 purchased 25 years ago is totally base (even rollup windows) so I got everything on the 2018.

AND the Pre-Collision warning system has already saved my ass once. See https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/almost-lost-my-ass-end.658194/

I won’t own a vehicle without leather seats. Mud, blood, and swamp muck don’t come outta cloth seats. I hunt way to much to have cloth seats. Stained my 2nd gen within the first week of owning it and then installed classios. Love the leather that came in my pro.

Exactly why I decided to go with a TRD Pro. It was only $2k more than TRD OR Premium. I got better shocks , lifted higher than TRD OR, higher resale, etc.

They do with a little Simple Green and a couple of very wet towels followed up by a dry towel.............

Leather seats are great if you only plan to keep the vehicle 3 or 4 years.....

I would have loved a pro. But sadly I need the LB daily

I am ok with the lower resale of my lower class truck. It will be here 10 years and 250k Miles. Hope with the business depreciation on it - I come out ok :)

My 3 year old pro seats still looks new. Seats in my dads 03 f250 are leather and still wearing like iron. It’s leather or nothing for me. They are to easy to maintain and cloth is a royal pain in the ass to get stains out of.
