Haha just for clarification I did the first 2 pieces and she did the rest bc she was a lot better at it haha. So she basically did the whole thing. But yea I tried to smooth them down as best as I could, few places that may need to settle. I will check in the morning. We ended up with a good bit of extras too

Good thing your wife was there to help you! Hopefully you held the light straight the entire time! I think my husband would be holding it sideways within 5 minutes!

When you check on them, just smooth over it with your fingers to make sure you got all the edges down.

Tire wash! I just hit it with the foam cannon scrubbe it with a Brush and pressure wash it off! I spray 303 for tire shine in the end.
This stuff is suppose to last 6 years technically according to Wikipedia as long as it is applied on a clean surface.

Thanks for the info! I was going to use meguiars gold or Chemical Guy wash for the truck body and the meguiars tire clean for aluminum. So I should be safe then

@sxe4533 Did you really just reference Wikipedia?

According to the Orafol website, Oracle 651 should last up to 6 years. :)

All orders are shipped ready to install and we DO NOT add transfer tape to our decals -unless you request it! We send a set of instructions with each order with our recommendations on how to apply the decals.

So I bought a set of these from your etsy account a few weeks ago and I just finished installing the last two wheels yesterday. Idk if the cut file was off or something on my set but mine seem to be cut smaller meaning that I still have chrome exposed compared to all the pictures that you have been posting. I'm probably just being picky at this point, but I just wanted to see. Otherwise, my wheels do look awesome regardless!

Thanks for the sizing feedback and posting the step by step pictures! The TRD Off Road inlays are a closer fit than the one in your picture, I can send you a larger size to test- if you feel like testing it again!

@Horger12 Oh no! They should not look like that AT ALL! Every wheel decal order I sold through Etsy was cut using the updated file! But, the sides are almost exact and if you do not align them correctly then the entire decal will be 'off.' I like to use the wet method so that I can remove and replace without stretching the vinyl- which I had to do many times before I got the hang of it!

I had someone last week have a hard time putting them on, but he figured out that the decals were too hot from being left in his truck. Once he took them inside to cool down and tried again, they fit perfectly!

I'm going to send you out another set to replace those and try again!

I think this is perfect. I think slightly larger would start wrinkling towards the edge.
The taper towards the edge is a little more severe. These are inside the edge which I think is fine. And you can center it easier with it inside the outer edge.

These were pretty awesome just FYI. Some attention to detail and realizing that they won't all be perfect was the first step to completion (denial is the first step, right?)

But I really like them, and I ended up doing a pretty good job half kicked in the ass if that tells you anything

Thanks for the feedback and photo!

Denial is part of the process! When I first tested these a long time ago, I had a pile of vinyl that I ripped off! :annoyed:
I tried again the next day with a new attitude and did all of them perfectly! I guess that's why I supply extras and don't mind sending more if someone needs it!

Yea, I just tapped them out with the backend of a screwdriver after removing them from the wheel.
