Tire rotations and such don’t damage the dip?

I dipped the wheels on my old jeep. I didn't dip the lug nuts so I didn't have any problems when the dealer rotated the tires. I doubt the techs were very careful when rotating. Once I can find a decent deal on BFG at Ko2s, I will dip the wheels on my tacoma. The dip lasted well enough for the 4 years I owed that jeep.

Nice....I am doing this as well.
Question....for those who plasti dipped matte black while the wheels were on the truck. How did you prep the wheels? Guess I should probably also wait till spring and warmer weather?

I have a couple of questions and looking for some advice........

At this time, I am planning on plasti-dipping my 2017 TRD OR wheels but might wait until this coming spring and warmer weather?? However, has anyone thought about plasti-dipping the wheels and then painting the wheel hubs a different color?

What if I plasti-dipped the wheels matte black........but then painted the center hubs in Quicksand to match my truck. To break up the wheel a bit? Has anyone done anything similar?

Also, how should I prepare the wheels and hubs before plasti-dipping/painting?

How did you remove the center logo? I definitely want to do this when I paint my wheels.

Ok if it helps anyone else I found it - 60mm TRD decals on ebay. Take a flathead screwdriver to pry off the original Toyota ones.

This may be a stupid question, as I have zero experience with plasti dip. Is it possible to use painters tape and only coat the chrome area on the wheel? Or is the plasti dip too thick to do that?

Plasti dip is very easy to get off. Any over spray is very easy to get up

This is on my to do list for my OR wheels. I checked powdercoating but it ranges from $80 to $100 per wheel if done correctly. That's more than half the cost of new wheels!

Best looking results so far. Mind if I ask what you paid to have them coated?
