PERFECT! No waste of $$ on the JBL. Take the $$ you saved and put it into a decent audio system!

Personally i think the JBL sounds great and much better than the standard system with the right adjustments. i will say my 15 JBL system sounded a tad better.

on a side note, is black leather an additional option in addition to Premium+Tech?

I'm working to have one of our builds changed to a Cement DCLB with TP and OF (Premium JBL and Tech) and Toyota seems really hesitant to build more in Cement...feels like a limited run a bit.

I think someone here was looking for a TRD OR in cement with Tech and Prem. A quick search of Autonation Tempe Toyota shows 5 in their inventory.

2018 with tech PKG and am a happy camper. Butt warmers, leather, and sunroof weren't a priority. This is coming from a loaded Jeep GC limited and a leaky sunroof... Never again.

If there was an option for tech or/and premium for my 16' I'd just go premium. I don't use any of the tech, never use sonar, BSM or other goodies. The climate control and heated seats are awesome though. Never had a car with that before and I won't after.

Which dealership, if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently shopping for a bare bones TDR OR DCSB and plan to do mostly aftermarket, but the wife always wants heated seats.

Live in Southern California...found one at Putnam, Toyota in Burlingame, CA (Northern California). They would not sell it to me and/or process a sale via FED-EX (for documentation). I even offered to pay for a notary. Sent me an email stating legal reasons and the only way would be for me to fly up to their dealership to fill out the paperwork. Would not return an further emails or calls??? Needless to say...a complete bunch of D-BAGS!!!

Found a dealer out-of-state and got exactly what I wanted no hassles. Trying to find a TRD Pro Off-Road with Premium & Technology Package is almost impossible in CA. Dealers are not getting them, despite the fact that the vehicles are assembled in Baja, Mexico and shipped up to San Diego, CA for distribution??? Toyota needs to get their SH!T together when it comes to dealers. It's easier for me to buy a vehicle out-of-state than it is in state??? In addition, no dealers will swap and/or trade to get vehicles. They all try to sell you on something in their inventory and/or coming into their inventory.

I ended up getting a Cement TRD OR with just Tech, All weather mats. I used the extra money I saved by not getting Premium (and a Premium/Tech was available in Santa Rosa for $38k), on the Skid Plate, Step, Mud Guards, Pro Grill, Bed Step, Tonneau Cover, Bed Mat, OCD Organizers, all of which I'll install myself (or have already installed). So far, I'm not missing the leather, heated seats, dual climate control and moon roof.

I have 2018 cement with Tech, works out great, do you really need a sunroof on a truck?? It all comes down to personal preference.

I went out of state to purchase my 2018 Tacoma. I believe it also has the tonneau cover installed.

I don’t know why, but with a DCSB OR with M/T, the JBL is deleted in the Premium/Tech group

For $135, you can make the non JBL sound better than the JBL.

The JBL was not much of an upgrade anyway.
