Yeah I was looking for that price to last month. Not happening in this economic environment.

I got mine for 16.5 but had 100k on it. Very difficult to fine one with less miles at that price range.

    4x4 or prerunner?

if 4x4, good freaking luck, may as well just buy a new one.

2nd Gen TRD OR can be had for that but you're not gonna like the mileage.

Thats what I did Summer of 2015, after looking at prices on used DCSB Tacomas going for $25k 6 years old with 80,000 miles on them I found a brand new 2015 TRD Offroad DCSB and got it for just over $30k with 15 miles on it. I considered selling it to fund a 4Runner but I like it too much.

From what I've seen around my area, a 2015 DCSB 4x4 still goes for $30K+

Keep dreaming, the lots here cant even keep them at $18,000 with 130,000 plus miles on them, and those are 8-10 year old trucks.

Paid $26,000 for my 2015 sport with 15,000 on it,and it was the best deal here I found,I did not want a 4x4 which were about $1500 more.

Yup. Same. I was going to purchase an 01 TRD OR 4x4 access cab for 13k OTD with 180k miles back at the end of 2013, but showed up and the truck was beat. So I was driving home and stopped by a dealer that had a used 2nd gen, an 09 with 60k miles for 28 freaking k$.... The brand new one that i really wanted at the front of the lot was 30,900 .... I ended up with that one.

Got my 2007 DCSB OR with 130000 miles for 15,200. Drove it for a couple weeks and brought it in for the frame recall and been driving a 2017 DCSB OR ever since end of Dec. I also have to put new wheel bearings on the front and brakes also.

From what I've seen, prices on used 2nd Gen rocketed when the 3rd Gens came out. Before that, a used 4x4 DCSB hovered around $29-30K since new ones were only about $32K-34K. I purchased my 2009 DCSB OR 4x4 JBL for $28,500 after the $1K rebate. Same year, my cousin purchased his AC OR Pre-Runner for $24.5K. Both were brand new. MSRP was $31K and $27K. Noe similar equipped trucks are mid to high 30's and some even 40's.

SoCal market can be rough on used though I did purchase my 2002 AC OR 4x4 manual with 89K miles in Nevada at a Toyota dealership for $13.5K. Just gotta expand searches. Ended up getting another 2003 AC OR 4x4 manual with 56K in San Diego go $15.5K. at another Toyota dealership.

That's why I bought a new truck, preowned prices were damn near like buying new.

Going to list mine soon, silver 2009. I’m second owner. 170k, runs perfect. Original owner had truck serviced every 5 k at Toyota. I do most of my own maintenance. If I need something done I can’t handle, it was serviced at Newark Toyota. Leaf recall done. Looking like I will barely qualify for new frame with some minor persuasion. Bringing it in next month. Only mods are 2015 touch screen entune radio and surround. Weather techs and tonneau. I have original tailgate extender and trd skid. Cooper at3s P265/75r16.

I am going to ask 15.5 and hope to come close. Stay tuned.

I think KBB is around $28k not sure if my topper adds any value? Are people actually getting more than KBB for the 2nd Gens? I did seriously consider posting it for sale to fund a 4Runner lol. I just didn't love the 4Runner when I drove it. Could also have been the sales guy riding with me who pretended to know everything about Toyota. He kept telling me the 4Runner was based off of the Tacoma, and they were essentially the same vehicle.
