Maybe I'm just missing it. Which option package is this included in? The nickel and dime me to death package?

There's supposed to be a 33" tire package but that also isn't showing up in the configurator, so maybe they aren't producing these yet/maybe it will be part of that package?

Something like tow hooks might be one of those things that will be cheaper to add and install yourself later. OEM's will probably be out on the parts sites within the year and I'm sure aftermarket ones won't be far behind. Since ARB is partnering with Toyota on the Trailhunter, I wouldn't be surprised if they offer some before anyone else since they've obviously had early access to the frame design. Likely to just be a couple of bolts per hook.

I’m wondering if they are tow or recovery class “hooks”.

I agree. It is just frustrating that you have to go to an aftermarket solution at all. I can't keep from wondering about the marketing strategy for making this a packaged option. Is it really that hard/expensive for Toyota to just go ahead and put the 2nd hook on a mid-trim truck that is labeled as an offroad vehicle? Or is it so people will cough up more money for another package?

I may just be disappointed seeing things that I'd really like to have (sliding rear window) packaged up with $5k of things that I could care less about without any stand-alone alternative. Guess it doesn't really matter with Toyota's allocation process though - unless you are willing to wait forever to have them by some miracle build exactly what you want. Otherwise you will just have to live with and pay for what shows up. 1st world problems....
